Yeah, RC Planes and G Scale trains aren't exactly a cheap hobby. But if you're a cheap sonofa and creative, you can go a long way on a little cash. I'll be posting a video soon of a cool thing I just discovered that I'm implamenting on my railroad. It's remote control, but for boring ole' DC operations! No need for $150 decoders. In fact, the entire system is easily less than $100. Check out this thread here for details: www.mylargescale.com/threads/build-a-wireless-dc-10-amp-controller-under-100-00.91277/

So was soldering easy? Would love to know. Maybe a video of soldering to the track, basic G scale soldering to the track. Thank you for all you do.

I don't have any soldering on my track. I've tried it in the past and have never been successful. I think you need a really heavy-duty iron to heat up that much metal in the rail to get a successful solder joint. Perhaps you are referring to the eyelet connectors? When I said solder, I meant that I soldered the wire to the eyelet and then I slid the eyelet underneath the rail so that it made contact. They are not soldered directly to the rail.
