I am a huge fan of Audioquest cables. I too am using the Z3 for my amps and processor. I can honestly say there is a difference, although it’s slight and maybe hard to justify the price. I do have a Z2 power cable for my AppleTV. I can’t say I see a difference with that though. All of my HDMI cables are Audioquest and again I see a difference there too. What I haven’t tested and likely won’t is their Ethernet cables. I just can’t justify the extra expense for little to any gain. I base this on my time in data centers over the years. I just run the same high quality cable in my home, and make my own cross connects, they pass the certification tests all the same. A 1000 foot spool is no more than $500, and that might be high depending on who you go with. But if you have the money and it brings you peace of mind, by all means do it.

Fellow AudioQuest cable owner and gotta say I’m more than happy with mine.

@@HomeTheatre101 thats the thing. Most people dont try it and jump on the bandwagon of the perception that cables dont do anything. Every single cable i have added whether its power cables, ethernet, hdmi, power conditioners or interconnects, everything adds to the quality. My favorite are power cables and hmdi because you get audio and video bumps in performance. With a system like the one im building, i simply cant afford to compromise performance. I am extremely happy with the collective Audioquest cables.

@@ThatHomeTheaterDudeI agree 100%, I would rather have good shielded cables and not have to worry about noise floor issues and most people that hate on them haven’t tried them, I’ve seen the differences first hand.

How do digital signal HDMI cables (that meet spec of course) possibly make a difference? I can understand analog connections like speaker cable but unless you’re getting funky artifacts with a cheap cable, how is HDMI improved?

In addition, would you kindly do an update on your rack once you are done. Thank You and keep up the Great KZbin content, Sir.😉👊🏾

Love IT!!!! My rack is similar and really curious what you are doing with the DACs? I don’t remember which Altitude you have? I have the 24 channel and haven’t gotten around to figuring out the extra 4 channels that are capable by using separate DACs. I assume that is what you are using the DACs for as well, the extra channels that are available? Looking good and would really like to see or hear the difference in your cable selection. I too believe cabling makes a difference. I had my electrician install $1,000 worth of products on just two receptacles for my living room Alcons Audio MK3 Left and Right paired with the Sentinel 10. I went with the Furutech outlet components and power wires/plugs but do have some various Audio Quest cables too.
