What are the dims of this room again? I love that you are doing 20 channels in a room this size. People think I’m crazy for doing 13 + 4 subs in my room but now I can point to yours and claim to be reasonable 😂!
@ThatHomeTheaterDude3 ай бұрын
@@marcalvarado1915 total dims are 13x 18.5x9. Not super small but not super big either. The room is just shy of being fully pressurized with the speakers and subs now. I think adding the waveforming and an infra will for sure get it there.

The room looks great! I like the choice in speakers as I have not seen many folks use this brand, but that might be due to active design. We(deep sea sound) had thought if we develop speakers we would go with an active design.

Super cool to see those updates. Did you ever consider Grimani systems speakers? I know they also use all active speakers with digital crossovers and DSP. Skimmed through Pro Audio Technology's website. The SCR-15sm Would look badass for your LCR's with those big horns. Real old school cinema speakers. Might have been too big for your room though :D

How much does the speakers + amps cost? Aren't the front pro speakers an overkill for a small room costing $10k each?

The driver resembles the B&C driver made in Italy. Thank you for the update. I always enjoy seeing what you have going on. I used to bi amp my last speakers too. I’ll be curious to see if you not any audible difference.
@ThatHomeTheaterDude3 ай бұрын
@@RobZelinka the biamping, tri and quad amping are taken care of in the amplifier. The DSP handles the crossovers in the amp Itself. This isn’t simply a matter of making the same wattage to each section of the speaker. This has been laboriously designed for optimal performance

Hi, awesome project. Any updates since the last video? And I notice that you are using crimp connectors on the phoenix plugs (6:39), I assume that is so you can fit a 14-4 into a two post phoenix plug for the lows? I haven't seen these before with a grey jacket, and I assume they are larger than the blue crimp connectors? Like you have on the highs and mids. And I assume these are pin or flat cable lug type? And one more questions, what size AWG are you going to be running to the subs?

Likely a B&C driver, the #1 pro audio drivers. PSA also uses their drivers which are super popular in the extreme enthusiast subwoofer HT crowd and DIY crowd. You'll only get hate from the JTR crowd for some weird reason. I'm a little surprised that the port tune is 19hz for such a large box, comparing to Marty/PSA subs. On a side note i've been looking for so extreme in-wall options for my home and those dual 12's look like a fantastic option! i'll need to figure out what i can use for grills though.

So you’re not using any Theory ALC Controllers (with the built-in ‘Automator’ software). So in your setup you are using multiple Theory DLC Amps (like DLC-250.4 ‘s)… so just using their DLC amps, can you still use Theory’s ‘Automator’ software?

When you invest so much into your system you end up listening to your speakers instead of listening to the content. Ask me how I know lol.

Looks like the port is tuned at 19hz based off the frequency response. I’m sure it is loud af but you are missing on on some low end if the tune is at 19hz I’m a big fan of sealed large drivers or ported designs like jtr where the tune is at 10hz.

I've been in this game for over 20 years and you not missing much. Not sure what's the obsession with low infrasonics. I see noobs usually make this the most important aspect and it's just B.S

Plus you can just slap some bass shakers properly and get 5hz with earthquake if you so interested in some of the lows that are like 3% of your total experience.
@bigjack794 ай бұрын
@@Masterslessons there is a good amount of content down to 15hz. 10 to 14 is rarer but you can definitely feel when it there in a system that has output in that region. You will notice in my comment that I didn’t mention anything about it being necessary but I feel like it’s worth having. Especially at this price point. It’s a really good sub. A 15 hz tune would have been more bad ass. Of course the enclosure would be a little larger.

@@bigjack79 it may be higher from what i remember. I think they are higher to help with speed of the driver. These arent meant for infra but can handle a little.
