Building my own diy drum trigger for your acoustic drum kit

I have a question..the two black hand screws is for what reason??I think there they setted is useless.How you find the idea to set them at the shell place of the angle so if you loose them you can adjust the distance of the head?Cause from the upside you must use bigger screw so it can goes upside down.

@@edmdrumselectronicdrummove5741 Mate, I just had a look and took one of my wives foam makeup things (ecotools). I didnt end up using it as i thought it was too soft...So they work well do they?
