You are absolutely correct about tools, no need to throw away money for 1 or 2 cuts, besides; tools a craftsman does not make.

Good job on the estimating the plywood for the bulkheads. The interior spaces are looking to be comfortable sizes for the interior.
@BuildingSYMistress4 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Richard and yes the spaces are comfortable and this is because Mistress will be 'home', and I didn't want a boat that felt to me like I would be 'camping' 🙂

You are totaly impressive with your use of tools. There is a old saying... " theres more than one way to skin a cat.." FYI... cat = Racoon old term You have taken on a steel boat..... I'd say you got the tools thing down.. Absolutely.. Positively. LOL

Hey thank you very much for your good and encouraging comments sir, much appreciated and re. the saying, Yes this 1 of MANY that I grew up with 😁👌

Hey Bruce, nice to see a new build update. Just before you started about the tools i was impressed about your quality in all the jobs with the tools and workshop space you use. A good craftsman doesn't need special tools.

Don't need a track saw, just use a straight board (MDF) to run the edge along..

Yes exactly John, as I did and do! Thanks for your comment sir!

All I can say is WOW, you’ve done a wonderful job with what you’ve got! I totally agree with your thinking, too much money for tools! Although they are are nice to have, hopefully you will not need them. We all would love to have all the bells and whistles and a shop to keep them in.....if we could only afford them..... This will be the only time you ever use that plum bob on the boat 😂, but that little laser level line projector is quite something , time to head to Bunnings !

Yes well once Mistress is in the water these will all be redundant for sure Mike! Re. the laser level, jfyi I got mine from Trade Tools and it is great! 😀👍

Nice to see a efficient, planned and realistic approach. Its great to see so big visual change in so short time. (Whats only possible because you thought about it long time ago and e.g. already welded the brackets at the exact right location)

Thank you very much Otto for your good comments and yes, as you clearly understand, the planning was done A LONG time previously! 🙂

Hey thanks very much Mark and I am really thrilled to hear that you are enjoying Mistress' journey! No, I haven't had any help and certainly not anything like Doug has got going, isn't he and his massive project incredible?! 👍🙂

Maybe a crappy idea, but if everything was designed in 3d, I assume one would save a lot of time by just projecting the drawings onto materials and cut away.
@BuildingSYMistress5 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment bjorn2fly and I reckon that in this day and age you could well be correct,.... but I don't know anything about how to do this nor do I have the IT gear to do it. 🙂
