all sounds great - EXCEPT when I hear Oracle. Sorry, for my entire 10+ year career every Oracle experience has been terrible and is a really big negative to me. I refuse to support Oracle, this needs to be a pure community support item

yeah even graalvm after oracle's agressive moves of licensing and charging companies 10x or worse because one usage of license is a red flag to me. which is really sad because all this looks super cool

Oh man, that's a very aggressive way to say "I will not be using this". I don't even use micronaut but still feel that your hyperbolic comment needs responding. Let's pretend you're correct and micronaut is _purely_ a jakarta wrapper that copies spring. What do you propose we use instead? From my perspective micronaut and spring are not frameworks for capabilities sake, but for the developer experience. Also, that quote can really be slapped on anything you don't agree with if there's any kind of history to it. It's still subjective.

what a useless comment. You have no idea what Micronaut actually is, and what they are making for the Java community. Back then, when Spring was an XML framework and not a Java framework, this guy made Grails, and we all give it a try, and it was a big inspiration for Spring Boot. He was also the main developer behind Spring Data and now Micronaut Data is a big step forward. Now he is bringing a full compile-time framework to the Java ecosystem that will allows us to use the full potential of GraalVM native image and force the rest of Java framework to take a look for inspiration again. But you, the only think you can do is write useless comments on KZbin.
