Honestly these shelves are really visually pleasing and the books are extremely well displayed. According to Jack Edwards 1000 books is considered a library. So my guess is 1150 books. I'm completely amazed by it, especially since you own so many special editions! We just don't think about all the money that went in 😂

I just use goodreads to keep a count of my books. When I scan a book (using my camera on my phone) I just add it on a shelf labeled owned & another labeled tbr if I haven’t read it yet. Then I can view them in any list way I want - genre, title, author. It’s great. When I do an unhaul then I scan again and remove from that shelf 😊 This is the 1st video I’ve watched from you - love your style.

this video and your partner going "you're so unhinged" just reminds me of when I moved into my new apartment in October this past year. I went to Ikea, bought three billy bookshelves (first time I've ever bought shelves from Ikea) and then somehow my friend and I were just barely able to fit all three into my 2 door car (they were slightly sticking out of the passenger window though, yes) only to come home, build them, and realize that we did in fact have room for another bookshelf.

I too was that child. I had a book of flower fairies and was diligent in my search for them. Also I spent a lot of time picking and tasting the plants, to such a degree that my mother purchased me a herbal and asked that I identify before I tasted. She said she was afraid I would poison myself. Instead I got a very thorough grounding what everyone calls wild foraging nowadays.
