Farming with Carp

Getting things around and we construct our first Johnson Su Bioreactor! Enjoy.
Welcome to Farming With Carp. This channel will show you the jobs that we do on our farm in Indiana each day. We are a regenerative organic farm that capitalizes on the uses of cover crops. We raise corn, soybeans, wheat, peas and alfalfa. We also have a growing herd of livestock on the farm that we graze across our acres. Come along for the ride!

Glad you guys are starting this, so the future of farming can continue to improve!! You may want to get a scope, will be fun to check on your composts progress. It’s a whole new world in there.

Very interesting. Would love to see a follow up on this project. How many boxes do you plan to build and what kind of coverage would you expect with the various application methods?

We plan on making a few more boxes. The rate is about 2lbs per acre of compost from what I am hearing.

Any estimate on how many gallons that will make? Make sure to have a follow up on this project.

Hi Erik, are you planning to check the compost under a microscope to see the fungi count as well?

If you put freshly chopped alfalfa in a brewer you get a nitrogen rich tea

Farming with carp, try looking up you tuber i am organics, he a organic vegetable grower and has a vidoe on it. Chris trump is organic grower and uses natural Korean way.. I would try 250 gallon tote, an air pump, alfalfa bale , and some brown sugar or molasses. Brew 24 to 36 hr , 5hen extract tea off and look under microscope, test to see what kind nutrients are in tea..

@@farmingwithcarp8551 the alfalfa will give you more available N but as far as microbiology you will not get any more than with what you are using... You’d be better with 4 or more family group cover crop either cut for hay to put in there or leave them in the field and activate a different genome than has been active in the past...
