Wow...that grade of wood you have there is absolutely beautiful. Having watched the big 5 drum companies I always came to the same question....where do you buy, or who do they ask to build a mold that is as close to being perfectly round, as possible???? What the big companies are using looks like granite, maybe? It's incredibly cool to see a company make their molds from wood like that. And, even then they needed a machine at perfect specifications to cut the pieces. Goes to show how difficult this process is. Very cool to watch this. Would love to hear some of their drums

Epic build man. When you cut your layers do subtract the layer thickness twice so the joins line up as you add them into the mould?
