Building Roll Cage in BMW F30 328i - Safety for Nurburgring rental car

While I never intend to build a roll cage, I have often wondered how the cages get into the cars. Now I know and appreciate properly built race cars even more :)

Excellent content, as usual. Small note for the future, maybe lower the volume on the background music a bit, or choose a softer one. It's fun to have the music, but this one was a bit distracting at times. Also, I really hope CSI Ignas does some other video sometime in the future 😁😁

is the dashboard bar for safety? some rollcages don't have it even if FIA approved. I always wondered why.

In F30 we are using original dashboard bar. Much easier to assemble the car and it still gives a lot of stiffness from side impacts.

What do you guys do for roll center correction in the rear? I'm trying to figure out how to tackle this on mine cost effectively but its difficult

Hi! Do you mean suspension? If that is the question - not much, as BMW from factory are good enough and we do not lower cars too much. Low car doesn't mean fast - so I guess staying around original geometry will save you a lot of grip and money, however not too many likes from Stance boys :)

Dont u supposed to weld them properly cages ? With less as possible passes , because now he just tacking them thats not the strongest welding method

you tack only if you use little power. If you you lots of power for deep penetration you can weld this way to have more control avoiding burn through, especially in difficult-to-access places when sometimes you see very little.
