The barque "Nürnberg" is a remote-controlled model sailing ship under construction, which is square rigged. The ship was a German windjammer that was originally built in England in 1867 as the full-rigged ship "Carnarvon Castle". Later it was converted into a barque. It was one of the first iron made Clippers and had an old rigging with bowsprit and long jib boom. The video shows the installation of the remote control with winches and servos for bracing (turning) of the yards. The ropes with all sheets, braces and blocks is modelled as original as possible. The modelship shall be able to perform the sailing manoeuvres such as wearing, tacking and heaving in the same way as the original. The video provides tipps and tricks for shipmodelling of square rigged tall ships.
