I'm so glad you always refer to your coach as "The Motorhome" instead of "The RV" . Even though it IS considered an RV, I prefer to use the specific term too.

Love the motor home. I seriously must laugh at you old school engine skills. I grew up on that stuff. I’d leave it all old school. Easy to work on in my opinion. Nice video and keep living the dream ✌🏼

If you run across the fuel pump fit problem again (or for the other folks)...the old pump should have a number stamped into the mounting boss (the part that bolts to the engine). You can use that to find the correct pump. The extra line your new pump has is for a return line. It was made to circulate fuel back to the tank on whatever that pump was built for. The breather fitting was probably available through the Balkamp product line at NAPA (I used to own a NAPA store). Cool that you could make one by 3D printing it, though... And I agree with the other poster that said the filters don’t fill up.

Keep it up! Try to use ethanol-free gas, otherwise, the water in the ethanol will separate out of the gas and really mess with your fuel system. And get some fuel stabilizer if you aren't going to be running the engine regularly. Gas experts tend to suggest that gas, even ethanol-free gas, tends to start degrading about a month after production. Old gas can clog up your fuel system and slowly reduces its ability to burn to the point where the gas might not even combust.

Love the Motor home, love the content, the fuel filter is put on back words, in this orientation you cannot see the debris collecting on the filter, it is filling from the inside giving you the false sense of security looking clean, ask me how I know this.

Will you print any of these items for others?
@IndustriousPursuits4 жыл бұрын
I really don't want to get into the printing business. Also, there are frequently better options than my printed versions. For instance, new sealed LED roof lights would be superior to the old rusty lights with new printed lenses. Also, we don't know the longevity of 3D printed Lenses in the sun. Maybe they only last a couple of years. The roof trim endcaps are probably the best/most useful item I've yet printed, but even those can potentially be acquired from a motorhome which is being parted out. The GMC motorhome parts sources probably have them if you need them. eg GMC Coop. As it turns out another comment left by someone else taught me that the Engine intake grommet is still available at Napa. Part# 735 6190 PVC System Elbow GM

Fuel injection pumps run at higher pressures than carb fuel pumps. I would suggest the Holley sniper EFI kit and to run all new fuel lines rated for fuel injection and modern fuel.
@kristyler10004 жыл бұрын
Thought I’d fill you in on some of the electrical fuel pump situation. First of all, if you had chose an electrical fuel pump to run the carb on the 403, then you’d have to choose one that would only push 4psi or add a regulator. So to answer the other question, yes you would have to change the electric fuel pump to one that is stronger when switching to efi/tbi.

Might want to order the correct fuel pump, that extra connection is meant as a return to the tank. I don't think I'd trust that $2 clamp to prevent fuel from spraying on the exhaust. www.napaonline.com/en/p/CFPB0212P

Correct me i I'm wrong but it seems the usual american architecture is gone. Your city looks like it's way more open to walkers and bikers. It has an air of San Francisco and openness.
@IndustriousPursuits4 жыл бұрын
In the video I just showed the old sleepy city grid just northwest of Downtown, and then the new development along the river. They put a river walk path to attract tourists. Technically, no bicycles allowed on the river walk. The rest of the city, like 99% of it is just roads for driving cars with no dedicated bike lanes. Portland is better than most other places in the U.S. for bicycle infrastructure. I live across the river in Vancouver, so I guess the city council here is following Portland's lead somewhat. It's definitely all about the cars here. So much wasted space for wide roads. So much sprawl.
