Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

You should do melee combat with hinged weapons like maces. You can apply thrusters or dynamite to the weapons to increase damage. You shall battle on the land. Hover blocks are allowed. You cannot ram using your main vehicle unless your weapon is totally dismembered apart from the hinge(s). Fight until only 1 person is not knocked out of his seat.

Stay lower and the bombs will be more concentrated in a smaller area. For the single target, be just high enough to not blow yourself up. For the triple target, maybe a third of the height you were at, maybe even lower than that.

Most of us audience are kids, and I think he prefers going for the “everyone wins” approach. If he were to stick lower than he was doing he’d absolutely obliterate the other guy and it wouldn’t be as interesting and fair. He absolutely built the better creation. But not the fair one.

Balloon popping challenge. Skies map, pick an area with a lot of pirates. Everyone builds a vehicle. Each of you then races to clear out the designated area of pirates in as short a time as possible, resetting after each run. Unlimited repairs, but a 5 second penalty on every repair.

I'd like to see these vehicles in a co-op mission in the game, or in team multiplayer... I want to see how they do against real ground targets. A co-op campaign mission would probably require four players, with two flying escort fighters... and I don't know how competitive multiplayer would work, not having played the game myself yet... but from previous videos, you would need either air and ground vehicles on both sides, or have the two sides take turns being air and ground.

If you stop the video at 4:00, you can see that the bomb bays are miscounted. There are meant to be going up by one each level, but it goes from one to three on the left side.

When your bomber spinning, it has a Gyroscope effect, and if you apply a force to one side of the gyroscope while it spinning, it will travel in dererection of spinn, tilting the side of gyro that's 90° away from the point you apply force to. For example if you imagine the this "O" spinning, and we press on the top part of it, then the right side will go down, and the left side go up, leaving the top side we applying for to stay same place.

Here's a suggestion; Each build a house that flies and can do combat. I've built a flying lego house on the workshop based off the Lego Movie 2. Just a random suggestion that allows for some creativity and has a starting/reference point to go off.

Long-range ground base missile barrages. Like long range missile platforms, but ground based, and not flyers. Since the missiles have a drop-off, it'd be cool to see if you guys could build vehicles to send an arc of missiles to hit a target from far away, or even over a hill or something without direct line of sight. Think BM-21 Grad missile platform... but be more creative... maybe a vehicle, maybe a turret, whatever you guys think would be longest range, and most accurate.

Excellent carpet bomber ScrapMan! Try a UFO build with no visible (external) propulsion devices, exhaust trail is ok. Must be fast, hover, and have accurate downward firing weapons. No bombs or missiles.

I recently began working on a replica of the zeppelin-staaken R. VI in trailmakers, right now my limiting factor is complexity, so I need to get complexitymod to work, but my idea was kinda of a mix between these two, I staggered a ton of bomb bays so that I can saturation bomb, with at least 8 bays dropping at any given moment, of course right now complexity limit means all I have is the main body with defense gunners, bomb bays, and left side wings, in the final product, the wings alone with their engine pods and gunners will likely be over 300 complexity alone per side

8:07 to "why am I going sideways?" I think the answer is gyroscopic precession . Vesause made a video called "spinning" and Veritasium "Gyroscopic Precession" about it. It is the principle of how helicopters tilt and satellites move. But I don't know if trailmakers simulate it.

18:53 I would really love to see your flying saucer be remade so that you could control the speed of the spinning of the vehicle. Spin slow for concentrated bombing, then spin fast for spread out bombing. To do this, I'd recommend using a variable amount of thrusters for the vehicle's spinning, for example: Stage 1: Only 1 thruster Stage 2: Only 2 thrusters bla bla bla Basically, with each stage you increase the amount of thrusters being used for spinning, leading to the desired effect. Additionally, to initialize the spin of the flying saucer, you could utilize most/all of the thrusters for spinning, then change modes from there.

Challenge idea: You could both build turrets with different weapons.The turrets could either be manual or automatic and you could build one car or plane each.The challenge is that you have to race around a course while trying to make it to the end while being injured by each other’s turrets.The plane could just be a flying vehicle. The power cord limit is up to you.

They should make a rc convoy to test the bombers. Have one or two anti air trucks then test practicality of the bombers. Yzuie's would be more practical for hitting the line of the convoy but scraps would probably be a more over all more disabling
