Euro. (Fortsetzung folgt in Kürze.

I also want to know what kind of ruler you used for the construction of this model.
@leokessels88 Жыл бұрын
I have several rulers. I normally use one made of metal. But this was an ordinary plastic ruler I got as a business gift.

I just bought a square file tool set. I'm thinking about starting my Notre Dame Cathedral set sometime in February or March whenever I feel ready. Do you have any tips or recommendations for this model kit? I'm concerned about placing the stain glass windows properly in place. I will use your video tutorial for help. Thank you.

The insertion of part 207 makes no sense in relation to the other parts. I cannot figure it out.
@wcombs5 ай бұрын
Actually it’s part 96 that makes no sense. It doesn’t stay on.
@leokessels885 ай бұрын
Part 207 is the part to stick the round rosette window on. It gives depth to the windows and also provides strength to the center part.
@leokessels885 ай бұрын
@@wcombs This component also provides the depth effect. But you have to follow the right order of installation: first slide part 102 into 212, then insert 95 (with the windows) and finally 96. Then everything will stay nicely in place.
@wcombs5 ай бұрын
@@leokessels88 I figured it out. It wasn’t until the next few steps and pieces went in and held everything in place.

I have a question: what type of square file tool did you use?
@leokessels88 Жыл бұрын
As you can see, it's just a small square metal file, like those that can be bought in a key file set at the good hobby store.

I just wanted to write and say thank you very much for the detailed walk through of this model. I literally just started, and I am at 2:37 in your video, and find that the instructions provided are pretty bad in my opinion. They do not do a good job explaining what side is the viewable side versus the side that you apply windows to, or the side that is the "backside". I would have been lost without your videos. And I am not new to advanced models. I've built many complex polystyrene models, but these just do a poor job at explaining. Thank you again, much appreciated!

Thank you for the compliments. I always enjoy reading that my videos are helpful. By the way, I had run into the same problem with the windows and the poor building instructions. Fortunately, I had experience with installing printed windows with Metcalfe's card construction kits. You will find a few videos of these on my channel as well. Have a great time with your building projects.

Thank you, I am catching on, and I find it just extraordinary the level of detail in this kit. The engineering that goes into these leaves me speechless. I am really having a good time with it. I also bought the Saint Paul's Cathedral, and the very large Sagrada Família Moveable Church, though that one I had to order from Cubicfun directly.

I've got a question. When it comes to putting the windows in place do you place the windows in to where the code on the window is facing in the opposite direction as what it looks like in the video? Because otherwise I can understand to where to place the windows which is place it to where the glossy reflective side is facing outward.
@leokessels88 Жыл бұрын
The printed numbers are on the glossy side (which was covered with the film). The double-sided adhesive tape should be stuck on the glossy side because the glossy side of the window should face outwards. So the double-sided tape should be stuck on the glossy side. I think I did it this way in the video.
@curtisspratte-lennington2311 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the response. It's just that when I saw the video it looked like the codes was facing backwards.

Depending on their skill and insight, this will still be quite a puzzle for some 😄
