Just how much bigger is the Harbringer gona get ? I dont know but I start to see it as a giant waste and eater of recources. The Widder section definetlly needs some torpedoes...

It’s a dreadnought it’s meant to be massive, heavily armored, and even more heavily armed. Although is does appear to be slight bigger when it comes to other SE dreadnought designs its size it not all that much bigger. The Apollo is another dreadnought that jack made and it’s only slightly smaller than this one. The difference is that the Apollo was a dreadnought that jack designed for cinamatics and does not have features that make liable to use in survival. So naturally this dreadnought is going to be bigger so can have combat capabilities of a dreadnought but still be liable to use in survival. Edit: that said I don’t see jack making it any bigger then it is the new section will probably be engineering and other sub systems

​@@xerraticdragonx4401That ship looks more like pre-dreadnought as there is very low number of main guns and a lot of small and medium gun spam, so yes, it's definetely a waste of resourses as it doesn't carry as much heavy armament as small ships can't, so several smaller ships could do it's job much better. The best dreadnought setup would be at least 8 that big tripple turrets on centerline (4 on top and 4 on bottom), plus 16 small twin ones on sides, and many point defense guns. Armor on vital areas should be at least 3,5 blocks of heavy armor, while unimportant parts should be covered just by hull to not overweight the ship.

@@The_White_Warlord Jack has left a lot of room for more weapons to be placed. There are also several connectors that still need a turret to be placed. Also it makes more sense for jack to put more effort into the frame before finishing the weapon systems. Although the dreadnought is huge investment of resources it will ultimately be a powerful asset in battle. Red team currently has a small fleet of decently capable small ships and as it stands so does blue team. Red teams ships are very mobile and are capable of long ranged combat where blue team has ships more capable in close combat. Both teams are evenly matched so the only option is to build bigger and more advanced ships. Jack probably knows that is why he is making the dreadnought as it would be capable of taking most of blue teams fleet at close combat while red teams smaller ships could snipe from longer range. Building more smaller ships would a bigger waste of resources in long run and they also don’t have the personnel to fly any more smaller ships they would simply sit and collect dust while draining red teams resources and power. Edit: the small and medium gun spam was probably added so Jack could get an idea of what he wanted in the Harbringer for weapons and defense such as a to take out incoming projectiles such as torpedos. Also it’s space engineers some of the medium size guns can really hurt as we saw when blue team attack red base

Starting to love new ship coming along very well. Jack ❤ love how red team takes their time and not rushing into a fight. Blue team seems to be in a rush to loses every single ship they made to sacrifice. Not impressed one bit 😐

I saw something on one of the previous videos where someone asked and someone else (not Jack) said he was supposedly moved on to other things or something like that. If that is at all true, I imagine something changed in his life (or perhaps there was something that happened behind the scenes, but that’s not really my business to know), perhaps a significant other, financial situation, new job, etc. Regardless, I’ll miss his antics a bit, and I liked his ship designs, they were very practical compared to some. Collier does pretty similar style stuff too
