Adam LZ Adam. I bought the Swiss Traxx and love it. Clean it with a super vac. You can first throw down a cleaning fluid, then use the super vac. You probably got a big discount because you basically made a commercial for Swiss Traxx. Looks like you had EIGHTEEN boxes. My 5 boxes cost over $200; and I installed them. It took 2 1/2 hrs. I've had them for 8 months. I cleaned them about 3 weeks ago. Took 20 minutes.

I agree with you. MAYBE if you have ugly damaged concrete underneath that you don't really want to repair so you could just cover it up with this but talking about a niche application. In this garage, he had BEAUTIFUL and expensive flooring and covered it up with something that by comparison looks cheap. Makes no sense to me.

I've seen other peoples garages that use these and I can tell you that they are a fucking mess! Dirt, dust, sand, etc will start accumulating in those cracks super fast. They'll try keeping them clean at first then completely just give up after a while once they realize how much of a hassle it is. Also if things do spill and they don't remove them to clean under it right, it will end up damaging the floor for sure. Once they remove them there will be stains all over the floor.

seems like a horrible idea. It's litterally sweeping it under the rug. I'd rather a nice urethane coated floor or something so oil is easy to wipe up and doesn't stain as much, with some area where its still cement for welding.

Adam hi, over the pond here in UK we paint our garage floors with anti-slip paint, its drys to a semi shine and is easy to keep clean and you don't get too much dust build up. Love your channel, keep it up. Pete

From a guy who has been working on trucks his whole life, you dont really need a diesel. Yeah its cool but unless youre going to be towing the 240 on a trailer to events you dont really need a diesel. Its just more expensive. Personally I would just go with and F-250 gas job and use the extra money you save on getting a nicer package or something like that. As far as the year goes, the 17s are gonna be more expensive but they honestly arent a whole lot different than at 16s other than body styling. If you can save 10k getting a 16, then go with that and just get a Lariat or King Ranch. My father is aford certified senior master technician and he has taught me so much about ford motors and cars in general and thats just my personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt. I just couldnt justify spending the extra money on a diesel if you arent going to be towing.

Alright then go for the diesel. Ive been towing a 17 foot double axle with a 2014 F-350 gas job but a 2 car is gonna be heavier. So since youre going to be towing it will be worthwhile. If you go with a 16 you can use the extra money for a nicer package but if you get a 17 its got more torque/power. Interested to see what you do and I hope I have been helpful.

Diesel is more economic , the Cummins produces max torque at only 1600 rpm's . so you don't need to work your engine hard or rev it out or pump more fuel , to make power . Gas engines in trucks get horrible fuel economy compared to Diesel . And my dad has a 1997 Cummins Dodge that has over a million kilometers on it , so it's safe to say Deisel will last longer .

well adam about the truck thing it would be smarter to go with the 2016 truck because i personally think its not a great idea to buy the first year of a new generation vehicle because they can have issues that don't get sorted out for a year or two and if you get the 2016 you can probably get a higher model like a lariat or a king ranch i know the 925 LB-TQ is tempting but you will probably be better off with the 2016 and there's a lot more variety of aftermarket parts for it if you want to mod it

Your analogy is worse than the GM commercials. Specifically the one where they're like "One of these cages is made with steel, and the other is aluminum, if we let a bear in the room, which cage would you choose? Oh, you chose the steel cage? You would clearly prefer our truck that we made using heavy ass steel." The point is that the aluminum is forged to be as durable as you need it to be, and saves weight. He will be getting a bed-liner obviously, so if you reference the commercial where they drop a thousand pounds worth of bricks in the beds of each truck from 10 feet up, you automatically lose.

The Swisstrax look like nothing but problems. its gonna suck to have to pull a bunch up and clean oil or anything that spills under them, also all the dirt just falls through them is another pain. you will have a constantly dirty garage and have to pull them all up in order to have a clean garage. Odd that someone with a channel name like obsessed garage is ok with dirt under the tiles basically just sitting on his floor. Just cause you cant see it doesn't mean its not there. should have just put epoxy down its easier to clean and looks better.

with epoxy floor you can just wipe it up when it happens. with the swisstrax you have to pull them up clean up underneath them and then clean the tracks themselves and put them back down. you can also blow out your garage without having to take all the trax out with epoxy and hose and mop them . Ill take the extra cleaning knowing that there is no dirt in my garage.I think hiding the dirt pretending its not there is the lazy thinking. Plus you cant get on your back and slide under a car as easy. There just not convenient enough to justify purchasing them.

Adam LZ so when you have an oil spill you will have to pick the tiles up put down an absorbent and then clean the tiles as well. Instead of just having to put absorbent down and shovel it up. Don't you think when you spill dirt and other stuff down there that's it's not going to hold the moisture that gets down there too and have mildew and all sorts of other problems. Do you see any other automotive shop with this crap.

Yeah you're gonna have to pop them off quite frequently if you don't want the floor underneath to stain from all the dirt that will accumulate over time. And if there is a spill its gonna be such a bitch to clean up if I had those in my garage I'd end up not parking anything in there and just use the driveway instead. They will keep them clean for the first few weeks then completely give up. People who buy these don't think about what they'll end up being like in the future.

If you're gonna go the diesel route I would highly suggest getting either Ford or Dodge. They have, over the years, been rated for having a higher towing capacity, horsepower, and torque ratings. One piece of advice I can give, being a commercial driver, is learn to use the manual shift up and down hills; I have seen many transmissions fail due to lack of knowledge. Also, learn the safe rpm ranges. Good luck man hope all goes well with the truck hunt!

2017 F250 was truck of the year by a landslide and if you get the full trim and option model, it is ridiculous the shit it has and can do but first year models usually have problems. It takes a year or two before thr bugs are worked out.

Just bought my 2016 f250 Platinum about a month ago new. Best decision ever, I've seen a lot of bad things with the 17's, transmissions spilling fluid, not starting, etc. Plus the new aluminum bodies are a huge downside. The 16 makes a ridiculous amount of power for a stock diesel, tows heavy loads like nothing's there, and has a very comfortable ride. Let me know if you have any questions I'm pretty familiar with diesels and trucks in general.

Adam, have you ever considered getting a motocross bike? Now that youre getting a truck I really want to encourage you to do this. You'll get a whole new group of viewers and a huge group at that. Did you know that the "King of Supercross" Jeremy McGrath came from BMX? You'll be a natural too. F250 is a huge truck, way overkill unless you're towing. Get a F150 FX4 Supercab with either the 5.0 or 3.5 ecoboost. IMO A truck that has cylinder shut down on the highway is very good too. Save $. I have a 13' Nissan Titan Pro4 king cab. Guzzles the gas. And a 06' 350z. ;)

Remember it is a first year truck with a new design and I would say go with an f350 so you can tow a lil more and have the comfort of knowing you can, I currently have a 2014 f350 and we pull about 17,000 wet weight and it handles it beautifully, anyway you will love the power, just remember first year trucks may have new issues that need to be worked out, long time fan. Surely to clean the understructure, you would just get out the hose and soak your floor down or use a pressure washer. Assuming these tiles have some sort of drainage system that directs the water out for easy cleanup

There should be no difference in the appearance of the truck. There is also no difference in drivetrain, you get beefer axles in the F350 because obviously its cargo capacity is greater, and it sits .5" higher, but with the F250 you get a better ride as its lighter and the springs compress easier. With a 1 ton truck, they ride like shit unless you load them up. Adam is planning to tow with his, and do simple loadings. You're throwing money away to get the F350 to get a .5" lift. There's many ways to get that lift out of the truck if you really wanted it. From personal experience with loading vehicles, don't lift a truck if you can help it, it only makes it harder to use for its intended purpose. Not only is it inconvenient, but if you go too big you can be putting a lot of stress on the vehicle's components if you go too wild, you also will have trouble fitting into places like parking garages, or even your own garage.

I have a floor similar to that and will be getting rid of it soon. It is just a grave yard for dead bugs and dirt to pile up under neath it. Sealed concrete floor is the way to go with a few strategically placed vinyl mats. The good news is when you get tired of those tiles they are easy to remove.

The 6.7 motor in the power-stroke is a very nice motor. Im not sure if theres been any malfunctions with the motors. If i were you i would get a older 7.3 and in order to have the truck whistle like crazy you have to take the turbo silencer out. It sounds very nice!

When u get ur truck, make sure to get it lined with some hard plastic, this keeps it a lot nicer for a lot longer. What would put a dent in the aluminum, wouldnt put a scratch in the plastic.

I work at Allegheny Ford in Pittsburgh PA and I would say to go for the '17. What trim level are you looking at? If I had $80k to spend on it I would most definitely go with the Platinum. It is amazing there is nothing else you could possibly want in a truck. The Powerstroke is a pretty stout engine. the only issues you may encounter will be from the emissions equipment thanks to the government regulations. Other than that it's amazing. As for the aluminum bed. If you get a spraying liner you will have no issues at all. Hope this helps
