I made the move from Nike to adidas senior year, don't regret it one bit. I used the adidas demolishers back then, 8 spike plate if I remember correctly and the plate would make you run on your toes, super stiff but loved it...the zipper design, all the goodies of the way spikes were not too long ago.

These should weigh 119g (4.2 oz) in size us 9. Got mine today (us 10.5) and they weigh 191g (6.7 oz). It's a big difference compared to advertised and to my previous Adizero Prime sp which weighs 134g (us 10.5). Have changes been made to the material after the launch? They are way too heavy now.

Question about the Adidas. How much do yours weigh? I bought the green (mint) ones with black stripes (ID1736), you show the black ones with green stripes (HR0225) . These green (ID1736) weigh more than an ounce more than advertised, around 5.5 oz. Advertised weight is 4.2 oz. I’m thinking there must be a difference in model run production of these shoes.

Fun fact about the history of adidas and sprinting. In the 60’s, Puma developed a revolutionary spike that helped their sprinters break records in the 100 and 200. In advance of the 1968 Olympics, Adi Dassler himself walked into IAAF with a briefcase full of cash and paid out $70,000 in bribes to make sure that they banned that spike

Adidas sp2 or Nike maxfly. I'm confused
@Trackreator Жыл бұрын
Adidas fits a bit more tight and when you run into them you feel the ground more close to your foot. They are also more stiff than Nike. I suggest you not to buy Adidas if you haven't good sprinting mechanics *and* much power bc they have very high angle of contact. (the value of the angle made when you hit the ground with the ground itself)
@juwanrigby1924 Жыл бұрын
@@Trackreatorwould you rather the sp2 or maxfly for a 60meter dash
@Trackreator Жыл бұрын
@@juwanrigby1924 remember adidas has a little bit more energy return but at the same time they are more stiff and that is important because you could kill your feet. Anyway there aren't many differences, go with what brand you like more.

@@Trackreator I’m about to have both I already have uptempo depending on which one feel better I was gonna stick to it for the 60 and use the sp2 for 1 2 and 4. I’m a short sprinter 5’8 and I need that energy return so I can last long in the 1 and 2

makes no sense to use a soft distance and road racing foam for a sprint spike... the reason these don't compete with the maxfly is the fact that they use a bouncy zoom bag instead of foam

this or ambition for 800M?
@runningwarehouse2 жыл бұрын
I would definitely consider ambition for the 800m. As fabian noted, a few elite athletes who really enjoy aggressive shoes have considers the prime for 800m but they really are going to be best suited for 100m and 200m. The majority of runners will not be able to handle it past 400m. -Connor
