Have to say I been looking for a trailer build series to get ideas and I e found just that! Looking pretty sweet so far even if not totally perfect. Hand made and it'll work is all that matters. Just clicking on the next vid for the series!

A little off subject but one thing I found handy for the Kurt milling vise is the all steal 5 spoak clamp handle. No more pinched thumb, and you can use both your arms! I drilled a dimple on the 5/8" hex and clamped the handle on with a set screw.

Yeah I think I will talk my dad into getting one, seen some other people using them and they look nice. I have already gotten pinched a couple times using it so I am sure it will be a good investment. Thanks for recommending it!

That's very you can use both arms and get more force on your part and it's super fast.

A small thing you can make in house is alignment keys for the Kurt vise. If you do that you will never have to dial in your vise again and it will be impossible to knock your vise out of alignment.

Hwy 49 RC hey thanks for getting back to me I appreciate it bro, I’m thinking of making my own 1:10 trailer for my redcat gen 8 and I’m not really good at welding that’s why I asked, I think it’s called TIG welding what your doing but I’m not hundred percent it looks a bit easier than a stick welder or an auto feed wire welder that I’ve used before.

Nope I welded it. Heat is part of the list of requirements for welding, and electricity is one way of generating that heat, just like a gas torch is. The other requirement for welding is that two puddles of molten material join to form a single coherent pool that, when cooled, molecularly joins the two pieces. Brazing on the other hand, which I have also done, is heating the two pieces until they are hot but not molten and applying a filler that more or less "glues" them together. Because of that brazing a brazed joint is much weaker than welded one, but both processes have their uses. If you cut those joints open, you would see that they are in fact welded.
