Very impressive. I’m a dad, searching YT for a video on how to fabricate custom RC car trailers for a build I am working on with my 11 y/o son. When I came across this video I had a huge smile on my face the whole time, knowing how proud of you your father must be! And, hoping to be in a similar position to teach my son some sweet fabrication techniques soon as well! What a great motivator for anyone looking to get into building custom mods with their kids. Kuddos to you and your old man!

If you made the large tube peices a little longer so they overlaps the smaller diameter tube a little more you could probably get away with soldering them using a epoxy to glue them in place. If you go to an auto body supplier you can buy panel bond that the use to glue new panels on to cars that would definitely hold but it is fairly expensive. All off these methods could be done in combination with tapping a set screw threw both pieces as well.
