Love the Origin Factory Jeans. I am a high school welding instructor and purchased two pairs at the beginning of last school year. Only wound up wearing one of the pairs and the other is still in the packages because I didn't need anything else. They stood up to whatever I threw at them while still getting compliments when I dressed them up a little bit. By far the best "work" jeans I have ever worn.

Question for you on those: I had a pair of Delta 68s and hated them. I don't like pants that cling to my legs, and to make it worse, the waist was too loose. Can you speak to the difference in fit? I really want to support Origin, but I want to be comfortable, too.
@kungfoochicken08 Жыл бұрын
@@patrickh9937Factory jeans are a looser fit. They fit like normal jeans instead of the skinny jean look of the Delta 68. I’m a big guy and they fit me great. I wear a belt with a pair of leather man’s and a heavy key ring and haven’t had any issues with the waist being loose.

love the idea of a 5 item wardrobe but i think the problem with it is sequencing in purchasing. i like to think of it like a fibonacci sequence. my order would be something like 1 selvedge denim (a man isnt dressed if he isnt wearing pants. the best pants ever are 5 pocket jeans.) 2 monochrome tshirt. (unlimited utility in any outfit) 3 leather boot. (im australian so this has to be a plug for an rm williams craftsman chelsea boot. i did want to recommend my beckman but its not as good with the next item.) 4) three piece suit. in dark grey (now you can go to weddings, funerals, wherever mum says. or work a desk) 5)fitted white shirt (something that can be tucked in but doesnt have so much fabric you look like you need to s*** so you can wear it loose.) 6) canvas sneaker or leather sneaker (for me a chuck 70 is the budget option. for a white italian sneaker there are a bunch of options.) with these 6 you have 1 jeans tshirt and either sneaker or chelsea boot. 2 jeans and white shirt. canvas sneaker or boot. (get the accessories right this is always a killer) 3 jeans white shirt suit jacket. canvas sneaker or boot. night out on town. 4 filling in hospo? jeans shirt and vest. or jeans tshirt vest. Ill take a negroni or a old fashioned thanks. 5 feeling a little back streety? jeans tshirt and shirt as jacket. boots or sneakers would work. 6 suit pants, tshirt and jacket or vest. either shoe will work. very preppy but totally an option. 7 suit white shirt no vest. chelsea boot. collins st cowboys ready to make big deal. 8 three piece suit. cigar time.

What makes a "true" minimalist seems to be some component of boring or cheap. I met a guy who calls himself a minimalist to my face and says he doesn't want to spend ANY money when I offer him a deal on some of my old leather jackets that don't fit well anymore. He is wearing Levi's denim pants and Converse All-Star sneakers and some fabric jacket possibly similar to your waxed one without the wax and a black t-shirt. I doubt that he spent more than $20 on any specific t-shirt if they don't have a design on them. Chambray shirts can come in other, more vibrant colors, but a MINIMALIST wouldn't WANT most of them and flannel shirts can be seasonal when Chambray is not warm enough, but I would still also add in wool shirts and khaki pants and some leather shoes for dress and casual occasions that aren't boots OR loafers... Am I forgetting something? Most minimalists would still have more than ONE outfit, too. Same as socks and underwear: Still need multiple pair of pants, etc. And that guy doesn't wear hats, which I consider a necessity most of the time. Um, so I told him that is pretty easy to find inexpensive used leather on ebay now if seeking smaller sizes but I don't know if he would ever wear decent shoes unless at work, either, and I wish LL Bean was still the same place where I used to think I could solve almost my entire wardrobe question but now is pretty much JUST flannels and chambray for me, but don't forget their canvas shirts that I wear more often than chambray. blah, blah
