Durmars is better than klay in defense and he is averaging 2 pts less than klay but in todays nba, the teamppg is 111pts while at the 90s it is around 95 pts which means dumars is a better offensive guy than klay bc he does not rely on his threes as much to shoot beause he still has the midrange, post ups, etc.

King Dino Dragonite in the NBA today though teams would 100% consider him less of a threat than the other players on the list. However Klay couldn’t be considered like that from deep and is impossible to help off, so I’d switch Dumars to the bench where he might need to do more offensively

@@pearlywhites3025 I know it's far from perfect, still that's an achievement, especially with the highest pace in the NBA to have the 3rd offensive rating and the best defensive of the season. That makes them favorites by far to win the ring ImhO. And Giannis is no small part in this. The never-done-before PER is the result of he making an incredible season, with all-time caliber stats in a short 31 min per game on average (because more than this isn't needed). The bucks are on their way to post a 70-ish win record while doing load management on their super star. To me that means a lot.

I was very tempted to include Dirk Nowitzski but I refrained due to defence and I feel like AD is overall quicker which is needed for today's P/R dominant offense. I chose to have actual point guards in this lineup because I think the PG position is stacked with great talent (i.e. Curry with his shooting). But since most point guards lack defensive abilities I refrained from guards like Kyrie, Iverson, Nash, etc... And a couple of runner-ups that could be used to fill out this lineup into a full 13-man roster: K. Thompson - runner-up for GOAT shooter, great perimeter defence, good length to cover a multitude of positions D. Nowitzski - essentially A.D but with inferior athletic and defensive skills J. Harden - ELITE scorer, mediocre defence, great playmaking ability, floor spacing; an overall good option for any guard position

I put Giannis as my back up PF with Davis as the 5. A double screen with him and Davis where Giannis either slips or rolls and Davis fades to the 3 point line would be unstoppable. Especially when my ball handlers are Tracy and Pippen off the bench.

@@sl1ck557 you have a point but curry is shooting a lot more than Stockton, Stockton isn't bad but curry is a much better 3 point shooter, the point im trying to make is that this team doesn't need anymore defense, it already has 4 outstanding defenders from 1 to 4 and Curry is not that bad of a defender. He's below average maybe but not that bad. This team lacks 3 pt shooting. LeBron is super inconsistent with 3s. MJ doesn't shoot them often, Tim would play inside the arc because there is no other glass cleaner in the team, Durant is good but 1 shooter isn't enough.

I understand your point about wanting a 3 and D player to mesh your team, but I'm sorry, I would much rather have the greatest shooter of all time in my starting lineup, ESPECIALLY if we're playing in this era. Fresh C Jordan and Lebron would already have open lanes with this team. Why add a player that is weak on defense to make the shooting slightly better? They clearly don’t need stephs shot creation and I would argue that from a spot up shooter standpoint that Dumars would be almost as good as Curry.

Maybe dumars can knockdown 70% of his open threes, imagine curry. Mj i can understand having open lanes and dominate in iso. But at what EFG%? 50?60? what if opposing team has a kawhi or pippen defending lbj and mj 1on1? Yes they can score 45 to 50%. But curry can free them up just by setting screens and be the greatest decoy that he is.

Understandable, but in 2020 I think Dumars shutting down the opposing star scoring guard is slightly more valuable. MJ said Dumars was the toughest defender he’d played against (though MJ specifically said, “[...] he (Dumars) was the toughest guy for me to drive by.”) Dumars might have trouble with catch-and-shoot, but he’d be great guarding opponents who need the option to drive to set things up and generate motion. Though, you could just stick Kawhi or Pippen on the opposing guard and probably be just as good. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I freaking love what you did here...I agree nearly completely. Here's what I'd do differently, or, what you did wrong: 1) Move The Dream to starting Center 2) Replace Garnett with 2002-'03 Tim Duncan at the bench Center position. 3) Replace Dumars with Mitch Richmond (pick a prime year) 4) Add Steph (pick a prime year) as the team's 6th man, or 11th man, as it were. There it is, the actual greatest all-time team for the modern NBA.
