Hey my name is Lucas and I'm 13. when I first started a few years ago I had the smallest clue of what the modeling experience was about or how to understand some of the intricate instructions, but these videos helped me to better understand the joy and feeling of completion of when you finish that ever so complicated model that takes you so long. every day after school I sit down and watch one of your videos, not only for entertainment but the knowledge you gain from it each time. So I am very grateful that you upload these videos and share your knowledge for generations to come. Keep up the good work.

Great work. The stick on zimmerit makes it look pretty good. I still prefer to use putty, but that is just me. I am a new subscriber. The build looks very simple. I do love Tamiya models. I own close to 150 built and need to build models. I would say almost half are Tamiya models. Mostly military and aircraft. It's great to see somebody who enjoys the hobby like I do. As for the music. The music you have used sounds good. I would just mix it up a bit. I work in radio and produce a lot of commercials. Each one has it's own music depending on what is being advertised and the voice being used. I saw one comment about how it sounds like he is on hold. I kind of agree with him. Thanks for posting the video.

Sorry Andy, I forgot my question... I am thinking of getting this kit and the zimmerit add-on - do you think it would have possible to make those round holes with a pin vice and a small drill bit (placing the zimmerit sheet over something like a soft piece of wood)? Thanks!

Hello Andy, I want to start by saying that I really enjoy your videos! I would love to visit the shop, but as I live in South Carolina, the commute is a bit long for me. At any rate, I liked the 'new' music, but I for one actually preferred the classical music. I would actually like to see a vid on the weathering of this, and i wish that you would have shown more on the zimmerit application and the issues tha you had with it - that was a main reason for watching this particular vid (though I did listen to your comments at the end) At any rate, very good video, looking forward to more! Great job Andy. There might be an approach that could make this zimmerit application easier. Sometimes, depending on the type of adhesive, you can apply windex under the sticker. This allows you to slide larger stickers around until you get the right position. Eventually the windex evaporates and the sticker stays put. That might work for that product. Perhaps worth a test sometime? Please keep the videos coming! Cheers

Thanks for this. I am going to try the sticker with the King Tiger. Truth be told I was keen to use the putty and try my luck. The guy at the shop didn't have the putty so told me to try the sticker instead. Watched a few videos with the sticker and it seems to be a nightmare! But lets see.
@berniescheid52863 жыл бұрын
Have seen other videos for the tamiya zimmerit and they suggest soapy water to help apply the stickers. Or Markfit but not sure that will help with the bubbles or making it stick on better or longer. 🇨🇦

I once got an idea for putting on decals and stickers onto my plane-models - especially for the tough ones .... I am using different pottery tools, like those for drawing lines or gaps into the material - they're made from stainless steel and very small, even those made of wood should work out fine - I don't know what it's called in english, but I got a tool with a small aluminum roll at the front, just like a cake roll but muuuuch smaller, that should do the trick according to the decals you got probs with :)

Andy forgot to show us how he made the gun muzzle black/sooty looking. Was it simply a squirt of the airbrush with his favourite Nato Black, or something more subtle like pigments or powders of some kind? Would like to know, as I have often wondered how armour modellers achieve this impressive effect at the end of the barrel.
@uro_01114 жыл бұрын
Nice work!! Would you mind to tell us the Tamiya colour chart used to paint this model?
@brockbookout54038 жыл бұрын
Ok I have a few things. First off what is a dull coat. Second when you did the weathering did you use dark yellow, the base paint? Also what psi did you have on the airbrush when you did the weathering? Last but not least, what psi do you usually have on your airbrush when you painting camo and the base Coats? Sorry to ask so many questions but I am very new to this! Thank you.
