Don’t bother with the CEN Hinge Pins, just buy 70mm Hex Head bolts, and cut off 15mm of the thread, which will leave only 5mm thread left (long bolts aren’t threaded all of the way). Once you have cut off the excess they are identical to CEN Hinge Pins. You can buy 10 times the amount of bolts for the same cost as the CEN stuff, simply overpriced cut off bolts that stuff is. Have fun!

I’ve never had one fail in the slightest, and I bash pretty hard (the 8s XMaxx) I bought the CEN pack and the normal bolts as I was sure it could be done for cheaper and I was right, to this day I still haven’t even opened the CEN packet. Thanks for the great content dude, you’re the reason I sold my Losi 5T for the XMaxx (abandoned military base video in particular) and I couldn’t be happier, I’ve never looked back!

Alright Kev hows it going? Ive just brought a new X Maxx :), can't use it yet as im still waiting for my charger to come into stock but that cool! I was wondering if you know of possible accomodation near to ARC Raceway? I live 175 miles away from ARC, and would love to come over during better weather and have a bash! But driving there and back in a day is a tad much lol. I have some time to prep up my truck, so far ive upgraded the pins to the nut and bolt type and I think if I prioritize things I should get a indestructable body and a second set of 4S lipos :) Then maybe look onto other items such as the servo, RPM arms, rear hubs etc etc. If you think of anything else I should do to prepare myself for a day at ARC then please let me know! So far I have the Traxxas 6700mah 4S lipo batts, and I am awaiting the Traxxas 2973 t dual charger. Thanks Mike!

@@KevinTalbotTV Wow. Thanks for the reply bud. Is that what you are running? The problem is that it gets super hot here in south Texas so that doesn't help. It gets to like 90+ degrees Fahrenheit (32c), but it's very humid and it feels more like 100+f (37.7 C), which is insane.

@@KevinTalbotTV Yeah tried the 15/50 combination today and my 6s motor locked up. Dammit. It wasn't even that hot today in the morning. Traxxas is giving me both an 8s and 6s motor for $180 since I told them what happened. My original 8s motor died too because I had a hub bearing lock up on me. Man I've been having terrible luck with the xmaxx. I think it doesn't like full speed runs nonstop on anything other than 54/18 gearing. I'm going to have to go back to that gearing since my troubles started when I geared up 😔
