Will and Quinn are such awesome additions to the shop. They've taken the technical aspects of the channel to a whole new level. Absolutely loving the content from Throtl, keep it up!

Or you could use what the guys on AWD Tesla swapped truck used. It's an almost plug and play system that uses the whole battery pack of the Tesla, no need for disassembly of the modules like they did here. Four months in and the rear motor is already turning, they're almost finished with their build.

I'm finding this build so entertaining. Will is great at explaining what all the components do and how they do it. I watch these and at the end I'm always like "Awww man, over already?" Wish I could "Like" the videos more than once, LOL.

This is my favorite build from throttle! The future is electric and I know my LS swapped 350Z days are numbered! I'm learning a lot from this build and I'd like to someday buy a kit to convert the Z to EV or build one with a fork lift motor. Only time will tell! Fantastic work, Will!

Incredible the ton of work you guys are doing, so patient...this is like 6 gas cars project in 1 and all is like new territory 🤦🏻♂️ hopping the end result
This video series I think really makes clear why EVs based on EV-designed platforms are so much more efficient than ones that have EV retrofits, even when they come from the manufacturer. You can't nearly as efficiently allocate space, control where the weight goes, and the boxes have lots of extra needless weight. Really makes you appreciate the weight savings advantages of having structural batteries as well. Really highlights the difference between craftsmanship and robotics-enabled engineering imo

Incredible Job, episode after episode. one question though: I am scared to death of all the high voltage on the batteries while you are stacking them up. You seem to work on it with your bare hands? How do you protect yourself while connecting/fastening the straps/brackets between the battery modules?

Really awesome build from Throtl but they should’ve spent or thought more about the actually body work of the Z. Meaning spent more time sanding it down getting rid of any imperfections and paint it vs just wrapping it. I’m not a fan of the color but I’m excited to see this thing running and see people’s reaction.

Especially if/when tesla opens their network up. Can you imagine the looks from some of those type's if you pulled up in this thing? I've been an ev fan since the 90s. So to see so much progress in the past 5 year's is very exciting. I'm also a total car nut. So ev elektromod projects like this, the 72 Plymouth electrolite tesla swap going to sema. The salvage 2 savage sick awd dual tesla ldu swapped 1200+hp c10, that tesla swapped ferrari 308 etc. Just gives me hope for an ev future filled with awesome and different looking car projects. 😎👍🏻

I don't know if I'm slowly learning or if your way of explaining things is improving, but I am starting to understand what's going on hahaha One question, are parts like these upgradable in the future, as tech and batteries evolve?
@Buckwired3 жыл бұрын
If the number of cells and current draw stay the same, we could change to an upgraded battery pack in a new enclosure using the same connectors. I’d bank of new battery technology meaning a completely different module shape size and weight. That’s why a new enclosure.
