There is actually a better way to do it to get them closer by using fence foundations but it is much more difficult if you wanted to stack ceilings

If you go up with one wall, using a fence foundation at the lower snap point on the foundation will give you a snap point in the middle giving you a large staircase you don't have to jump going up and you can ride your horse up it. Likewise you can do a decending staircase with foundations and fence foundations.

So, essentially, what the Conan Exiles building system needs is (1) the ability to turn off snapping and (2) the option to snap to a grid, preferably of a width of your choice.

Kiah, to be able to walk up the foundation-stairs you have to use Fence Foundations instead of Wall pieces during construction.

For stacking always use black ice fence foundations. You can't place bombs on these fence foundations.

To keep the foundation stairs going higher... you can build foundations from the lowest foundation around the side to the back, then put a foundation on top of that then delete the side foundations as you don't want them and then repeat from the 2nd lowest foundation etc etc

haha, nice cut with the you can walk up x) but fence foundations actually have 2 snapping points on a foundation and that way you can make a working "foundation stairs".

0:38 if you already know the numbers you can build outside in. For example, for every 4 squares, you can place 7-9 triangles, all in all it'll form a hollow circle. Afterwards you can find in the rest. Where you're building, Ide suggest going with 3 squares and 5-7 triangles. 3:02 with circular tower builds it's best not to place benches where the main support pillar is meant to be. The width of that tower needs the center as it's main pillar.

if you understand the technique of the circle build you can build from the outside in as well. It's how I do it most of the time.

I found the best defensive position for base building purge proof and its the coolest place to build on the entire map

The stacking benches for pvp is realy bad. Can't pick that up quickly. Also in pvp you prefere your workshops all in a seperate small room. Or have everything set up efficient in a big room protected by massive fence stacking. Or have a vault base: T1 around (walls at least 1 foundation thick) so people can't look in. Put everything in the vault when pvp starts. As for clipping... You can loot through walls by spamming F in 1st person view while attacking with a spear. Other great pvp hiding loot tips. Place a chest and then put a wedge foundation over it. (Good for reboot chests in pvp: armor/tools/workstations/spare thralls/dragon powder & T3 mats) Line your buildings out for pvp. Shared decay timers are an amazing tool to throw people off when they check your timer with TAB (Tab works like a repair hammer) You could have added ceiling stacking and camouflage bases for pvp. With decoy bases.

The issue with stacking the work stations is adding thralls to it. I don't know if you even can or not but I imagine if you can it's going to look all sorts of messed up and thralls in workstations is a must for survival.

Wait! Can we acually stack stations? How the hell didn't I find that out before?! OMG, I can't believe the only things I knew I could stack were really decoration pieces and campfires over other crafting stations, but not these! Kiah thanks so much 😅😅!! Overall your guide is a gem, nicely done! The foundations steps is such a nice trick too, it took me a while to figure out that one actually, I've used that trick recently but I wish I knew this a long time ago. @@WildJester search "EzyB TV" they have a video explaining efficient station stacking in a 2x1x2 space. This is really for 1 or 2 players, it becomes difficult to aim at each station correctly.

Stacking crafting stations isn't ideal for thralls I'd say, but I do like that concept for starters.

Those are some great tips! Would love to see a PVP focused build without the use of exploits. Seems like that's all there is.... Might just switch to PVE since I always get raided and never make progress. The game was definitely not made with the average solo experience in mind.

A good trick to have windows in your base with no outside access is to place a foundation on the inner side of the window. How I do it is after you for example make a circular base place foundations to make it resemble a cog. After placing the windows around the foundations place either a baiser on it or a torch on the wall. Then place a foundation inside on top of the light source. The game doesn't register them as placed objects giving you hidden lighting. When done from a distance gives the illusion you have accessible windows with a visually appealing base design.

Hey Kiah how you doing? Checked tour video as I started playing pvp on pc and tried to honeycomb fence foundations using your technique but I dont think they allow it anymore. See Im fallowing your steps I get them lined up us you do but i can't make them pass each other, they only snap to one side not forward ... hope I made myslef clear. Please let me know if you got an update, I know its been 2 years but maybe you still on subject

I only play PVE-Conflict i dont play PVP anymore i was just tired of being offline raided and raided by salty clans with shady raiding practices, they basically cheat now so building a huge base is pointless, if you have thralls or pets they just kill them with poison arrows, then spam bombs or avatars, no amount of honeycombing can stop it eventually they will get in and its just such a hastle

I know this video is 3 years old but stacking like this on official pvp servers is now against the rules. It causes lag on loading map chunks and prone to errors or even crashing the client. If a pvp raid happens and you are using these methods, you could get reported and banned. Be warned..
