6:47 I've got a couple of wanderer locations for you... if it's OK. There are two more very consistent and fairly easy wander spawns in the nearby swungle. You see that large island to the NE with the pond? The pond area is swarming with dangerous monitor lizards, go for a swim in the pond to avoid them. The wanderer will quickly die fighting the lizards for some free loot. Another is the island due north of that one. That island has a world boss on the south half but the north half has a wanderer and several turtles. The Wanderer will kill the turtles for you but you will have to finish him/her off for their loot.

For sandstorms sometimes I'll carry an emergency shelter with me. Just need a foundation, four walls and a ceiling piece. Just make sure the walls have windows so you can watch it pass.

I don't know if it's still happening, windows used to cause sandstorm damage, but an open door didn't. I saw a YT video, from the early days. This player made a shelter from a sandstorm with a foundation, pilar, and ceiling. Fyi, it no longer works.

Just started out on gamepass. Very enjoyable especially as I'm not usually into these types of games. Managed to get a decent set up within a few hours, just about cracking into light armour. If you have gamepass its worth a go, big game however at just over 100gig.

I’m glad you posted this because i just downloaded it and haven’t even hit the river yet. The crafting takes a minute to get used to but I REALLY like how they do it in this. However I worry about later hours in the game. Is it as fun later, and idk if there’s even an endgame to this.

@@crucialcatalyst6305 depending on server preference, you just keep advancing technology to battle bigger beasts and summon god like creatures.. I'm still enjoying, recently went onto a PvPE server a d surprisingly made some friends, early on.. gave me gear etc. Worth sticking to if you are enjoying it now 👍 Just keep in mind, that any new server you join will refresh character for that instance.. each server tracks its own data.

Agreed, daggers are great early game. I do the same thing in 7DTD with the knife. Stick'em and kite them around until they drop.

I'm trying to do a fresh playthrough now. I've lost my entire main base where I store all crazy loot on official european PVE server. Decay timers... I was late 5h... Annoying af.... Logging in every week just to refresh decay timers is also annoying af... But here we are, I'm trying to start fresh but this time on a PVE-C server which is more thrilling than regular PVE. Gotta have a life on a server. Grave Matter event was an example, it didn't spawn in after day 0 on my solo map. So only chance to have fun with it was - that's right - - - playing on a server. Yay! Playing too long in late game makes you forget all beginning tips and tricks. Here I am, listening to lovely Kiah. Cheers!

Spear can also apply bleeding but only on 2nd heavy attack. A single 1x1 box won't count as shelter, you need 1x2 at least.

I always find that the Antelopes and Gazelles give more meat and hides than the shellbacks and if you take down the Kudu then you get a huge amount of meat. They also give Exquisite Meat, and Savoury Flesh if you use the stone cleaver and up. The npc's that drop the flawless light and medium armor also spawn at the island with the pond in the middle where you can find the komodo dragons located at J - 5 on the Map. They will also drop flawless maces. If you want thick hide and steel bars at the start of the game there is a under water chest that gives you them every time including anything you would find at sepermeru but it is near the sentinels. Go to I - 4 on the map and you will see a ghost swimming in the water then he will get shot by an archer. Where he sinks to a chest will pop up. You can farm this chest at level one and up.

A lot of beginners wonder which religion to choose. To be perfectly honest; it won't make too much difference to your game on the first playthrough, and by the second playthrough, you will know the pros and cons of each. If you really want the spoiler, Crom is useless Yog is the easiest to learn Set is very easy to learn Mitra is quite easy to learn Derketo is quite difficult to learn (but still achievable before level 30 for experienced players) Ymir is very hard to learn ( until you have cold-resistant armours equipped) Ironically, imho, Yog, Set and Mitra are the most useful in terms of their lvl 1 perks. Opinions?

Interesting - while I agree with your assessment of which is easiest to learn, I disagree on which are most useful at tier 1 (although, I'm aware that the majority of players seem to agree with you...) - to me Mitra is decent (but easily replaced by Aloe Extract), Set offers little at tier 1 (antidote is fine, but I never found a use for it until much later), it's at tier 2 that Set becomes clearly the best. Ymir is decent for Archers (and, as you say, hardest to get, so worth considering if only for that). Yog is basically irrelevant (Mitra or Aloe is just better, plus doesn't spoil, at least once crafted) - plus I don't stand for filthy cannibals, lol. Derketo is, IMO, the best at tier 1 (and almost certainly the worst after that point - unless you particularly want the religious outfit for some reason ;) ) - Bonus stamina (and faster stamina regen) is a huge benefit at early levels, and can easily be the difference between living and dying - that one extra dodge or attack at the right moment, or just the ability to run away for longer, can be huge difference makers. Add to that the comparative difficulty of learning it, and it would definitely be my top pick for starting religion (unless very archer focused, in which case I would go for Ymir, and aim to pick up Set as soon as possible). Of course, that's one of the fun things about open-world games - there's rarely one 'right' answer :)

Ymir is very doable and you do not have to fight anything on the way except possibly a goat or two. You can also pick up ice and black ice. It is actually easier than Mitra or Set.

Didn't they remove bleed-effect on the official servers? I equipped a legendary one which said bleed and cripple in the description, but only the cripple-effect was applied. The damage of the daggers was 43, if I remember correctly. I'll try a new character and see if I'm wrong. Edit. Ohh, heavy-attack is applying bleed... Edit2. And to get xp at low levels, explore, explore and explore!! And make a tent if you don't want to make a base or have the sandstorm-mask.

As weapons, Daggers, obviously, but having a javelin and shield ready is just as useful, not for throwing, especially the second javelin is worth a lot, as it offers a decent damage upgrade, while remain cheap (twine, sticks 'n stone, can be created via inventory menu, though it requires lvl12, not to be confused with the stone spear, which is the lvl6 javelin, coming with the daggers. Though spending more feat points on it is the trick question, whether that's worth it.) Sure, it adds more weight to be carried around, so it also depends on preference. Preferably no one should start this game alone, so having a partner around offers more choice and increases survivability by a lot.

Azar!!! Javelin is for those who want to play skill my fellow action player! Also if you can't wait for balance javelin at lvl12 you can use the throwing stone axe with sword or mace. This makes your character dual wield with heavy attack x2 the effect. And when your stamina is up for it try duel wield axes.

Challenging accent as a native german speaker, but I've got a friend in the UK with a similar accent, so it wasn't as bad, heh. What I wanna say is, despite the unfamiliarity to your accent, I still understood almost everything. Thanks for the video, it helped. One question though; Are daggers viable/good throughout the game? Like does the bleeding effect for example gets stronger with the weapon?

Thanks I appreciate trying to understand my accent. Bleeding effect is the same on all items, no matter of quality it's why they're pretty op in the early game. However the damage of daggers increases the better quality you get so yes they're viable. But if you're interested in just the bleed effect part, some other weapon types; like the one handed waraxe, in it's combo will also have a bleed effect

I literally found the waterskin by chance the first time. Totally forgot about it in every single character I've made afterwards. 🙃 Dead trees are also great because sometimes they give you dry wood, which is amazing for pretty much everything, from building to fueling, making epic weapons...and you can never have too much of it. The Sandstorm can't hurt you if you look at the stonewall. It just wants a friend and attention and you look away and pretend it doesn't exist, you meanie 😥.

Only tip I'd add to those you mentioned is to try to get a fighter thrall as early in the game as you can. It takes time to level them up and you can level yourself up from the same experiences. (They level up only when they're following you and either you or they kill something.) Pets are OK to get if you come across a baby animal, but they aren't nearly as helpful and versatile as a thrall. You can get a horse to ride if you find a foal, but they don't tame the same way as other pets. You have to build a special stable for them.

Excellent tip, but I assure you that all followers are valuable. Including pets. Exiles are the easiest thralls to knock out. At level 10+, with the basic truncheon, it feels next to impossible to knock anything out. I recommend the Exile camp at I4(eye four), below the NarrowNeck span in the lower left corner. A single exile thrall spawns here. I like to start with a T1 Fighter and work my way up to an exile wander T4 named Fighter. Thralls only have 5 inventory slots. I equip mine with food, shield, and 1H club, this leave 2 slots for carrying resources. This is why i still prefer striped hyenas as my first pets. Pets have 10 slots, that's 9.000 resources per harvest run. Horses boost that up to 18.000.

@@KonFess As I said, "pets are OK." By all means, raise one if you find a baby. But thralls are significantly better so spend your time hunting thralls, not pets. You can change the armor and weapon on a thrall and make them a better thrall. You can increase their strength and vitality by what you feed them. You can give them a functional warpaint. You can give a thrall a truncheon for a weapon and have them help you get other, better thralls. You can't do any of that with a pet.

One of the starting points I seem to always miss the water skin. The Dafari main camp to get Dafari weapon recipe is where I go because I don't like the looks of the sticks n stone weapons LoL! Also what's a waste in feats is the bonfire upgrade, seriously who uses this!?

The Darfari weapons are a great bonus damage early game. I use the bonfire over the campfire. The campfire still has only 10 slots, and produces little light. While the bonfire has 40 slots, and can fully light a 5×5×2 base. Then auto turn off so your base isn't visible at night on a PvP server. I can't understand all the streamers that I have seen walk by that free water skin. I think they don't want to hear the lore from the adjacent note.

@@Ming1975 no, only while cooking. But we tend to have over 5.000 flesh to cook. So we can throw 5 or 10 wood on the bonfire for a short run of light at night.

You need bonfire learnt to make the stove as well - need that aloe soup :D

@@KiahOnFireOfficial crystal maybe one of the lowest harvested resources. "Killers," only source of crystal maybe from thrall and chest loot. Purified water, their only source is raiding, thralls and loot chests. Same with soup, and aloe soup. "Killers" and raiders don't craft or understand the crafting tree.

Tip number 1 uninstall and buy a better game. Unfortunately this game is perfect, until you swing a weapon. The combat is abysmal. It’s horrid. It’s abhorrent. It’s an abomination. It’s so bad it brings the game from a solid 8 to a 2.
