I like the 3-bolt neck which so far I’ve only seen Jacksons use; I care more about the wood being carved where your palm side is, so neck through isn’t automatically better for upper-fret access.

Awesome design and execution. One question, as someone who hates all form of sanding especially for taking away material, since you have a cnc, why don't you do the radius using a large ball nose? after that, all you need is just some light sanding.

This exact question was asked also in my previous video. I've thought about it, but I've come to the conclusion that this is the better way (for me) to do it. If the fretboard is radiused before gluing on the neck, then it's very difficult to get even camping pressure and it might lead to bad adhesion -> loss of tone & reliability issues. If the fretboard would be radiused after gluing on a CNC, then the setup time alone (firing up the machine, workpiece holding, supports, cnc programming, changing tools...) would easily take longer than just doing the way I do it now. And the problem would increase many fold for neck-thru-body guitars I also build a lot. And in the end, when I say "my least favourite part", it's like saying "my least favourite Lamborghini Countach" - compared to 99% of the jobs in the world, if still much rather radius fretboards 😂

@@Kiiras I hear you. There are solution to those drawback, I radius before attaching and use pegs to stabilize the position, however I use vacuum to glue it to the neck so I don't have the uneven pressure issue. But all in all loved the build.

For a V7 prices range from just under 2000€ to over 3000€ depending on the specs and how pretty you want it to be. But in similar spec as the guitar on the video, it would be a around 2200€.
