Building a UDT (User-Defined Data) in Studio 5000 showing one being built to be used inside of the main UDT that we are making.
This gives for a deeper use of the data that you are making in your user-defined data & in our example, we will be using this for a fault handling system in a future video.
Minute 0:42 Making a String User-Defined Data
Minute 2:10 Making the Fault Handling UDT
Minute 2:58 Building the Array of Data for the UDT
Minute 6:14 Adding our new task
Minute 7:54 Making our routines
Minute 8:58 Adding our Jump To Subroutines
Note: This is being built for use in the next video that will be released on this channel which will show a large-scale fault handling system.

Make sure your data types are correct. We all tend to make mistakes when doing something so don't stress about it. Just double-check that you are using the correct data types. I made this video 4 years ago although it still shows exactly how to build a UDT for the DateTime. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZO5iXelZq9_nck Yr : DINT Current Calendar Year, e.g., 2023 Mo : DINT Current Calendar Month, e.g., 10 for October Da : DINT Current Calendar Day of the Month, e.g., 22 (today) Hr : DINT Current Clock Hour (0 to 23) Min : DINT Current Clock Minute (0 to 59) Sec : DINT Current Clock Second (0 to 59) uSec : DINT Current Clock Microsecond (0 to 999999) Also, here is a course that teaches everything about Add-On Instructions. www.allen-bradley-plc-training.com/p/rslogix-5000-add-on-instruction Here is an image of what the instruction logic can look like. www.mediafire.com/file/6camoy0ndmqu111/DateTimeAOI.png/file

I really enjoy the videos you make and have been a long time viewer. However the advertisements have become too annoying. Nice while it lasted.

I don't control advertisements, KZbin does. I personally bought a KZbin subscription so I don't get Ads when I watch. It's low cost per month & helps speed things up. If you watch any KZbin videos for free then they give ads. This is why I bought my subscription to KZbin to help save me time when I watch
