Buy a folding Japanese "pull" saw. They are very easy to use, cut clean and FAST ! Because they fold, they are useful for camping. Either Silky or Gyokucho. 6"-10" with large/coarse teeth.

I really enjoy watching a capable person working. I don’t need a 10 by 10 but it seems to me a 8 by 8 would be fun and using your technique guite easy. A good spring project.

This is Brilliant Tammy, an excellent overview and great graphics with superb narrative.. i halve two observations 1) use a clamp to ho hold the wood whilst drilling, scoring or sawing as this will prevent movement and accidents 2) stop apologising... this is beyond good what you have done and what you are explaining.. don’t apologise, you should applaud yourself for attaining a new skills

You got away with it but hands in front of a spinner bit?? Bust out the wood you have a real nasty situation. I know as I have done it myself and spinner bits are never your friends, they like chucks of skin, bone or wood they eat it all. Use a clamp to hold the wood! then you can eyeball level and straight better. One minute to fix a clamp saves 3 months of healing. Roll on the next. Arthur (UK)

Is your very cool tent based on actual Viking designs?
@SpiritForest
@SpiritForest 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching.. The Vikings didn't have 2x4's or sewing machines. So, I would have to say no. However, I have seen examples of their tents (historians feel they used them on their ships).. My tent looks similar to those designs.

As an aside, instead of having the fire inside your tent, have you ever considered having the fire outside and laying a metal tube at an upwards angle through the fire and into the tent? That way it sucks clean air from the outside and as the pipe gets hot and hot air rises it pushes into the tent, giving you clean warm air. The pipe never gets hot enough to burn the tent and the air coming out is anywhere from warm to hot. A tiny fire can heat a pretty big tent this way, and there's zero risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or burning your tent down like there is having the fire inside the tent. An ex partner of mine set herself on fire by not taking fire seriously and having it around her while sleeping. She now looks like something from a horror movie and will never lead a normal life or walk properly again. Please reconsider having a fire inside where you sleep.

If you are going to do any more "wood working", I strongly recommend getting a folding Japanese "pull saw". amzn.com/B001Y4ZWYU They are very easy to use and the one I linked folds so it makes a great pruning/camp saw.
@dr.lexwinter8604

The point of an A-frame is that you put the material AROUND the A-frame. You literally ditched all the benefits of an A-frame and have a straight line tent with the A-frame turned into a pointless cosmetic thing. You could have strung a cable between two trees and achieved the same thing minus the extra ten kilos of wood you have to carry in and out.
