Great video! I'm curious about the PTP Edit Rationale. I understand that we can bill the second column CPT if we use a modifier however I am still getting a denial. This is for psychotherapy. Most of the time the denials are for Clients who have two different psychotherapy sessions 90837 (psychotherapy w/ patient 60 min) and 90853 (group psychotherapy). What are your thoughts about these being billed with a modifier? Would you think that dx has a role to play in whether the patient qualifies for both individual and group therapy? I've submitted with -59 modifier as well as medical notes and still not reimbursable. I don't know whether to continue to appeal or adjust the unpaid charges at this point. Thanks.

Hi CodeMaster Coach and thanks for the awesome insights that you share! I’m an experienced software developer, now looking into building HIPAA compliant websites that will interface with various clearing houses. However, I’m now stepping back and looking a little closer at what might the individual medical coder need as a tool in their own arsenal? For example, are you guys using spreadsheets to keep track of things that could better be done in an app or a website? Just throwing that out there before I start my own journey. Hey coach , would you consider the ncci table to be a global surgery indicator? i think the whole global surgery codes thing scares me cause i dont want to accidently unblundle when coding

I would not say, global surgery indicator but it does help to understand which codes are bundled.
