Was down there last spring enroute to Morocco via Barcelona, broke yet really wanted to tap into Andalusia, I couldn't get a hotel or hostel because so much was booked and expensive, so I had to sleep outside between a couple different areas shown in this video. Next day spent the entire day exploring some of what you've shared. Got a lot of photos. Definitely nostalgic this and yes I was on some RAS MOOR vibrations too to see and rest in the spaces of my ancestors, with roots between this land america and Africa often nomadic trying to piece things together and figure out how to thrive my way. I am grateful for the discussion of the Moors. I wish that the creator of this video would have shown more evidence of the splendor of Moorish architecture as demonstrated in the Alcazar. The cobblestone patterns in stone, the construction of the ceilings (especially of one area that was infused with natural light) and doors in wood and stone are some of the greatest examples that I saw for myself. Also the gardens with fountains and sewage systems that were introduced to southern Spain are other examples of the genius of these people who, I learned earlier this week, were some of the first inhabitants of North America. My dna test says that most of my ancestral lineage comes from Andalusia Spain and the Azores Islands of Portugal. My parents were born in Mexico and Brazil. No offense but the people of Andalusia never called them self Moors. They called them self Arabs and Berbers,mainly Arabs (by race or language) under Muslim ruling. The military commanders were mix of Arabs and Berbers, and the the ruling government were (Arabs) from Quraish tribe and Umayyad clan. There may be black sub saharans africans blended within. The millions of darker skinned Spanish people - Or Spaniards - have Arab like noses and lips and straight hair. If the Moors were really black African looking people with extremely curly hair or afros there would be much, much more evidence of that among the Spaniards of today. But many blacks will probably still " reason " in their minds, that those darker skinned Spanish people intentionally straighten their hair and have had plastic surgery on their noses and lips. 🙄 (And of course Spaniards that have recently married with black people have nothing to do with the issue at hand)
