Imo, if there are plants in the house or not, there always be chance for bugs and pests to enter. perhaps to prevent it, plant the vegetation that hated by them like lavender, mint, etc. this comment is open for discusion.

I love the concept of home connected more to the nature. But anyone either architect or owners of such houses can share the experience how to maintain these kind of house without insects,snakes or other dangerous creatures. Also concerned about overall safety.
@centurian62205 ай бұрын
Exactly..How much brave we may think we are, openness feels a little intimidating during night time. That's why when I planned my home I clearly said the architect that there should be separation between nature outside and home inside. Behind the shut doors we can have the entire house at our disposal without fearing even a shadow. And the nature is right there outside whenever we need it. That being said, this house and its design is very beautiful indeed.

mosquito nets are available. One of my relative house has plants inside like this even though not this much.They have placed mosquito nets in doors and windows(openable type). And i have stayed there for somedays , never have i incurred mosquito problem there
@centurian62205 ай бұрын
If we bring nature inside along with its pros we get the cons too. Even if it may be seasonal, invasion of mosquitoes can make living in these open common spaces very difficult, or else they have to fix nets in every opening, which may look super ugly. There was a time when people wanted to keep rodents, ants and other pests out of their houses, and a home which can really protect us from rain and wind. For many rainy season was a nightmare as utensils have to be placed everywhere to collect rain water seeping down the tiled roofs. Now a days the trend has reversed by inviting all nature elements inside and has got the charming name 'living with nature'. Of course modern technology is trying to achieve the best out of this concept, but at a very high initial and maintenance cost. But many years down the line the cons slowly start to outweigh the pros, then either we have to adjust, or find solutions which is again costly. Many times architects seems to push the clients into this concept as these homes have the initial wow factor and can make breath taking KZbin videos out of it, which can advertise for them. When I planned my home I clearly said the architect that there should be separation between nature outside and home inside. Behind the shut doors we can have the entire house at our disposal without fearing even a shadow. And the nature is right there outside whenever we need it.

cleaning the plant litter at the start and during the summer will be such a nightmare.. And also the insects scare
@renasiegel6 ай бұрын
One shoudn't clean the "plant litter" as it helps to cool down 👍🏻 Weeds between paving cracks can reduce the temperature of the ground by up to 28 degrees Celsius and thus make a valuable contribution to combating heat stress in cities. The Spanish urban planner and architect Ángel Panero discovered this - more or less by chance.

With water pool in the house....will it not produce too much moisture into the house.
@marzookwdrАй бұрын
The architectural concept is visually striking, and the home appears truly remarkable. However, I have concerns regarding the adaptability of such designs, as they seem best suited for tropical or mild temperate climates. In recent years, Kerala has experienced rising temperatures due to global climatic changes, including phenomena such as El Niño and global warming. As a result, the increased exposure of open spaces to the environment may lead to uncomfortable conditions during the summer months. Currently, Kerala's heat levels are becoming comparable to those experienced in the Middle East.
