Thanks for the idea. I know I will be going with an Alpine. Had a few over the years, love 'em. Never thought about a back up camera monitor in one though. Found a tailgate handle upgrade the other day with a camera built in for my new, to me, 'o6 Amarillo Edition F350. First upgrade, mirrors. Second, speakers, then head unit.

Nice and clean install , I love those older trucks, you can almost do anything you want with the sound , with the new F150 or F250 you can forget about replacing the stereo , the only thing you can do is to add a DSP unit to the factory stereo.

Excellent install. I am looking to upgrade my factory sub in my 2008 superduty and do not like the boxes I see available as they take up the entire area behind the seat, and i'm not looking to rattle windows. Yours looks like it fits well mostly on the passenger side only. Do you have any other pictures or details about the box you built?

It's 3/4" MDF and I honestly just built it to fit. That's why I prefer JL Audio subs because they sound great with very little air space.

@@AnthonyJ350 Thank you! Do you happen to have any pics of it, so I can get an idea of how much space it used up? From what I can tell, it went just past the center of the truck into the drivers side. I carry some tools and such on the drivers side so I didn't want to eat up too much space over there if possible, like most I have seen do.

That truck is remote start can you show how you did it

Remote starters need to be installed by an experienced professional.

With the amp mounted under the seat like that were you able to install the metal fold out portion still?

I have a 2005 F350 and want to throw a Kenwood Excelon HU in along with this Alpine 5 channel amp. Where did you run the rear channels to or did you bridge the 2 channels and only do a front speaker setup? I always planned on doing sub, rears and fronts... am I too old school here or what?

We amplified the front and rears with our 5 channel and ran the subs on the sub output (which I'm sure you already knew). I see nothing wrong with the way you want to set things up.

Did this truck have the factory subwoofer or the factory component speakers?

Houston Matthews No factory sub. I dont remember it having the factory tweeter.

Have you made custom JL Audio 12TW3 for 2018 F350?

That particular sub not yet for that truck. JL makes Stealthboxes that use TW5s for Fords.

how are you doing Anthony just wanted to hear your opinion on jl audios c2s my goal is to have a loud System but would not like to lose clarity if you're not a fan of C2's what would be another recommendation if I wanted to stay with jl products

I'm a big fan of C2s. Highly recommended you amplify them. The only thing about C2s are they really need a sub. They don't really make a lot of mid-range bass even when we do systems.

AnthonyJ350 how would you compare the C2s against let's say either the C3s or C5s in regards to the clarity from the tweeters and loudness thanks

Zev argov C3 is a better speaker in almost every way. Amazing value. Going to a C5 if you're going for even more clarity.
