So first off, I’m not saying I don’t believe in psychics but as someone in adult education, one of the first things you learn is to stop saying, “Does that make sense?” Because it sounds condescending and of course someone isn’t going to say, “No, that doesn’t make sense” because no one wants to sound dumb. The reason she is doing that my guess is for the same reason doctors in certain professions or giving certain diagnoses will do. It's a way of grounding. Alot of times your emotions will take over and you don't actually retain the information given at that time. So finding a way to verbally of physically ground someone is actually extremely helpful when hearing something that affects us emotionally. May be weird if your outside that moment but in that moment it makes sense.
