That's one of the biggest reasons why I love Skillet. In a time where we have thousands of bands making songs about depression, addiction, relationship problems etc., it's nice to hear music that has wholesome, positive themes while still having the same energy as other hard rock bands

@@thekawaiicrewR I agree completely, their music has lifted my spirit and energy on the inside, and also in a time where largely music is built upon sex, drugs, and cursing almost 5-10 seconds, its still really awesome and nice to have Skillet's music around, and Adelitas Way as well in a shout out

I miss the melodic guitar of Ben Kasica like in Comatose and Collide Albums
@JMDrummer5 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more.. They are talking about why Comtose is such a fan favorite and how they are trying to figure out why and how to give that again to the fans.. Comatose was great because of Collide.. If they want to make another album like Comatose they need to listen to Collide again.. I know everyone loves Jen.. And I'm not saying she isn't a good Drummer.. But she can't touch what Lori did on the drums.. Jen is too robotic.. And that's coming from a Drummer myself.. Jen just doesn't really bring the dynamics that Lori brought.. That along with what you said about Ben is why they haven't reached the level of those two albums since.. They have come close.. But nevertheless still miss the mark! Jen needs to loosen up and learn to play some ghost notes and more creative fills.. And the guitarist needs to expand his creativity as well..

Used to be a major fan of the “newer” era of this band. Everything from Comatose to Rise in particular is great. But Unleashed and Victorious (so far) haven’t done it for me aside from a few songs and eventually I fell off with this band (not because of those albums but because I like heavier music now). However,I really do respect this band and I’ll at least check out this album simply because of the nostalgia.
