No pastor, musician or any Christian leader should be elevated. God should be the only one in that spot.
@anar3602
@anar3602 4 жыл бұрын
How does that work exactly? Hasn't it been God ways throughout scripture to elavate His leaders? With elevation comes influence. The church is called to influence change in this world through elevation that the Lord Himself has given. Yes, Jesus is to be elevated in our hearts above ALL as Lord of lords and King of kings. But God elevates: e.g. David, Daniel, His prophets of old, etc. Just because men fail doesn't mean that God does not use elevation of a man or woman of God to His glory.

Here is the REAL Messiah, Who they REALLY Crucified for the sins of man Yad He Vav He is what Moses wrote (Dead Sea Scrolls Exodus 3) Yad = Hand He = Breath Vav = Nail He = Breath Yad He, which forms The Creators Name YaH, (Hand Breath), as YaH's Hand Forms/Creates and His Breath brings forth life (Adam) Vav He (Nail Breath), YaH's Sacrifice of Crucifixion, for those who call YaH Savior, His Breath brings forth life YaH arrives via the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7:11), the exact same way YaH arrived to Joseph NOT through childbirth. YaH was NOT Crucified on a "cross", but according to Hebrew law (Deuteronomy 21), to be nailed on an Almond Tree for blasphemy as the Messiah claimed He was YaH. He was YaH, NOT this "jesus" HalleluYaH means "Praise YaH", that's what HalleluYaH means, NOT Hallelujesus people. When you pray, pray to YaH, call out His Infallible, Holy and Sacred Name.

That's what they do (extremely well, if I may add). They let their light shine in an otherwise dark world... Kinda like... Jesus. Allow me to willingly wreck your theology: Jesus knew Judas was a thief... Jesus knew Mary's reputation... Jesus called Matthew from his tax booth... Jesus didn't expel the Samaritan woman nor the Roman Centurion... He showed love - and GREAT miracles (and countless salvations) were the result. John Cooper has been doing this for +20 years, staying faithful to God, Korey, and himself. Now he is reaching THOUSANDS for the Gospel (and walking it out).

I love this quote by Paul Washer. “We have no right to water down the Gospel’s offense or civilize its radical demands in order to make it more appealing to a fallen world or carnal church members. Our churches are filled with strategies to make them more seeker friendly by repackaging the Gospel, removing the stumbling block, and taking the edge off the blade so that it might be more acceptable to carnal men. We ought to be seeker friendly. But we ought to realize that there is only one seeker and He is God. If we are striving to make our church and our message accommodating, let us make them accommodating to Him. If we are striving to build a church or a ministry, let us build it on a passion to glorify God and a desire not to offend His majesty.”

Joshua the Russian Jesus died on the cross for YOUR sin, MY sin, AND THERE sin. That is very unbiblical to wish hell upon anyone. Matthew 5:44 says "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". I am not saying that the "LGBTQ" is not sinful, because it is, but we are called to love all, and show them who Jesus is. Also, saying that about blacks is very wrong as well. They where made in the image of God, JUST LIKE you and me were. They are JUST as loved, valued, and equal as you and me. Jesus died on the cross for their sin, just like he did for mine, and yours.🙂

Really that's it, no hail Mary's or whatever made up ritual other people practice, But once you come to God, you want to learn more, and those who are saved are not ashamed to defend the word. What was written thousands of years ago is unfolding at a rapid pace. I give us one, maybe 2 centuries left, the corruption of man is out of control lately. Never too late to let Him in. The figure of jesus came out of a turbulent historical time when the Jews needed a figure to assist them in transcending their worldly difficulties (although, in terms of Jewish scripture, he was a failed messiah, even though Paul lifted up "his"name and made a religion out of "him") Historically there are quite a few figures that could have been the model for Jesus, or could have been Jesus (possibly even including Paul himself), for people who don't believe in a historical Jesus or subscribe to the idea that the bible is %100 percent infalliable (which its not, matthew mark luke and john couldnt even get their geography right) its more constructive to think of Jesus as the archetypal perfect man rather than criticize people for believing in a figure that may or may mot have existed.

@@deliriousmysterium8137 You are only saying that because you don't know Him. Although over simplistic one example that makes sense to me . . . If your mother, whom you have loved all your days as a gentle integrerous and peace woman is suddenly arrested for murder. You go to her to get her side of it. She tells you that she did do it, but that she had no choice. Unfortunately, she is unable to explain, but asks you to trust her. As her child, you are able to face a world telling you that your mother is a monster because you know her in ways that only a child knows his own mother. This is true of God, to those that have met Him, and walk with Him daily. It has been my experience that God, as a diety is an eminating being. His essence is literally LOVE, HOLY LIGHT, and WISDOM. I say eminating because these attributes, amongst innumerable others, are tangibly perceivable at His discretion as knowings. Like packets of instant knowledge that you just suddenly know. When He shows up, you know. He shows up through faith/expectation like a beckoning hunger from our very soul. He goes where His pressence is welcomed and hungered after. Sadly, too many pulpits are teaching against the expectation of encountering and hearing God. Which means . . . . religion without the pressence of God, which results in empty religion that is a white washed tomb.

If we continue reading chapter 10 after verse 2 it says, "For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:3‭-‬4 ESV" It always comes full circle to point to Christ. As a youth leader, I agree that my example will most likely set the standard for how the youth will practice their faith, and it puts pressure on me to be that example, but I also encourage them to not follow me too closely, since I am flawed and constantly working to fix my relationship with Christ. If they must follow my example, it is that, constantly work to build and fix your relationship with God. I encourage them to dust off thier Bibles and seek the truth for themselves as well as test it. The Holy Spirit will guide through who you need to talk, what questions to ask, and how to go about it. This doesn't surprise me what's going on. The Enemy is astute and knows who to hit to bring other's down, which is why it's important to fix and build our own faith on the Rock, that is Christ

@drios007

Scripture is the inspired word of God written through man. So it's not the same thing. A collection of books, poems, letters and accounts written over the span of 1,000 years coming together to form one book, all speaking about the same man, is hard to leave up to coincident. The Bible tells us to challenge it and not only that, but the apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:14, "And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain." In challenging Scripture, we actually challenge ourselves, the Bible turns in to a mirror and forces us to look at ourselves, then it tells us, through Christ change is possible. This can only be done through the Holy Spirit, the third man of the Trinity. Again, the apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:14, "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit." So when a believer that has been professing faith for a long time decides to fall, I beg to question, where exactly were they putting their faith, God or man? In my own experience, I too have gone through some experience that would cause me to question, the simple answer is to turn to scripture and find it there. The Bible is a sealed book, you can't take from it and you can't add to it.

And that in Him through the power of being filled with His Holy Spirit, we move, we live and have our being. He left us with His Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit to empower us to preach the gospel to others that we serve a God that wants us whole Spirit, Soul and Body and He ultimately wants us to live with Him and worship Him for all eternity. People need to see the power of God these last days to understand HE IS REAL! JMHO of the meaning of the post above.

Revival is a constant state. The Body of Christ is revived by definition. A fire that needs to be continually fanned isn't getting warming anything. Revival services are a money-making scheme. Miracles arent needed today to believe that Jesus is who he says he is. It took thomas to physically see Jesus and his nail print scars to believe. Jesus' response was "he who believes without seeing (miracles included) are blessed". We have the written words Divinely spired by God's own Spirit to prove to us that He is real and in our hearts. We dont need miracles. The jews needed miracles. 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 Thats the problem with the church today. We're stil seeking after his miracles to believe him. I went down that road. @@njcanuck I do really love what he is saying here. Very convicting and convincing of his sincerity. But when I went to a Christian concert a few years ago with multiple bands when Skillet played last I left because of the dark demonic energies that I felt from their performance. I don't want to judge his heart or integrity. I sincerely pray that the Holy Sprit has convicted him to True Repentance and Relationship with Christ.

Skillet has stood strong for so long, has reached both Christian and secular markets, has inspired me and has been a great example in one of the hardest positions to be in (fame and in the spot light). So I’m so happy that John is speaking up and standing strong on the importance of God’s Word etc. Thank you 🙏

Truth has become subjective especially in the Christian community in these end times, when only the word of God presented to us in the Bible should be the undeniable truth we need to seek and find through the Spirit of Jesus.

@Porter Maxwell dude you know there's a lot of cultures that use arousing music, for example Jewish culture. Remember when King David danced before the Lord? There is nothing wrong with solemn hymns, but you are way off the point. Skillet is shaming just about the entire Christian music industry with how true they are to God, and you're caught up on their sound. Please get refreshed on the scriptures and do not lean so much on the words and precepts of men. It can be hard in this day and age when reading the word of God is so discouraged, but please do. God bless.

@Porter Maxwell I understand what you're saying. The Bible says that we are in the world but not of it. To condemn people's musical taste is not Biblical, but I understand that their are areas Skillet can improve in. Still with that said, they are some of our last strong stand for what is right amongst the Christian music industry. We should pray for them and give them healthy criticism. They seem like the people that will take good Biblical advice. God bless.

The reason people walk away is because they only know about Jesus, but have not known him personally. No one builds a solid relationship with Jesus and walks away. Let's step aside and allow God to be God and everything will be just fine.

No. It's too late. I'm 64, and left organized religion five months ago, taking away my generous contributions. The few churches that don't have insulting praise bands and scantily attired teens are 501 c3 sanctioned institutions. "Follow the agenda, attend our events and socialize in our diversity of commitments." All the while our culture and country are despised and dying.
@lifewithlulu4056

Those scantily clad teenagers need to meet Jesus full on. I welcome them to my church anytime as they need to know their value and worth is in Jesus. They need to know they’re loved. They need to know his grace. They don’t need legalistic judgement from adults. Those adults judging them usually need to face Jesus full on as well instead of being so hypocritical. Usually when faced with Jesus full on a heart change occurs and the things of this life aren’t important anymore. It’s starts with the inside first and then then the outside can change. God cares more about the heart as there are many modestly dressed people that have ugly bitter hearts. I can bet you God is more pleased with the teenager in short shorts and a broken/pure heart than with a modestly dressed bitter judgmental legalistic person. Look at the woman accused of adultery and Jesus ‘ response. It should tell you that scantily clad people are more important to Him than hypocrites that can’t see spiritually.

@@lifewithlulu4056 EXACTLY. The legalistic church that asks me to vow (on paper) to give them 10% of my gross income. Meanwhile a member family serves communion with cutie pie in leggings and a crop top. Choir robes are REQUIRED while singing on Easter and Christmas and other special Sundays. I considered wearing the same outfit to communion (at 64 and an overweight pear shape) to see if they could get a hint! However, four dear ladies have reached out to me since I quit attending five months ago. I heard, "It's not about you". It meant, "It's about your money."
