I love this interviewer. I've seen her interview a couple others besides Superfruit and Pentatonix, and she's always so well-informed about the people she's interviewing. She actually knows what she's talking about, as opposed to other interviewers who don't know a single thing about the person they're talking to, and make you roll your eyes and cringe with every awkward question.

This was a lovely interview! Scott mentioning, kind of off-handedly, that he's "going through a break-up" has me thinking there might be truth to the "instagram-drama" of Shawn unfollowing him and the rest of PTX... Even though the way he says it makes it sound like a joke; there is truth in jest.

That could be true, but Scott was making it sound like he was going through a breakup when they were writing all these songs. That would've been a long time ago (around the time of breaking up with Alex), not just a couple weeks ago

Maybe it was a reference to Alex, although I got the feeling like he was referring to the songwriting at the moment (they are still writing for part 2 right now), not the few songs they had done in 2016, since he was speaking in future tense. They even said later on that part 2 will have slower balads on it, because that is "the mode" they are currently in; that makes me think there is something emotional happening right now that will be translated into the music.
