So... I just got my case fans. But me being me didn't look to see if i have all the right outlets on my motherboard. But I couldn't find any outlets for my fans except for the ones that are already being used. (My PC is prebuilt and my motherboard is the A520M-A PRO AMD from MSI) but now when I went to plug the Fans in (they are RGB fans) i couldn't find the outlet. I went onto the MSI website for this motherboard and found out that it only has 2 outlets for fans. The System fan 1 and the CPU fan 1. But other than that i can't find any others. But i still tried to see if i could maybe just swap out the "old" fan with the new one. The Fan worked but the RGB didn't. Now i didn't try to get the RGB working because i was already pretty upset that i would only be able to fit two fans in, so i gave up. Can somebody give me any tips or tell me something i should try. Pls help :)

It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. kzbin.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

Little tips: if you tryna to screw 4 screws or more. Do the X move, so basically if you screw the top right part, the second screw must be on the down left part. It's more easy to screw with that move because the part you gonna screw isn't dangling like in that video.

Spent over 4,000 dollars on a prebuilt PC from Alienware and the hardware far exceeds the cooling capabilities of the case it came with. The Aurora cases are absolutely terrible in regards to airflow. Modern Warfare on medium to lower settings still crank my GPU temps to up to 86 degrees and in the red. I know 86 won't exactly burn up my card but it's still far hotter than it should be with the hardware that's in my PC. Lesson learned. I'll never go with Alienware again. Unless of course they stop providing their customers with low end cases! Because of this I'm desperately trying to find alternative methods to lower my GPU temperatures when I'm playing demanding titles such as Modern Warfare. I wish I was a little more experienced with building PCs myself. I'd really like to transfer all my components from the current tower over to one that has much better airflow. I only spent $1400 on my son's off brand PC and that tower is so much better at cooling than mine is. It's quite depressing. 😑

If a CPU has a stock cooler do they take up one of these fan slots on the motherboard? (Also good video my man)
@BuildsWithV
@BuildsWithV 4 жыл бұрын
No, so the CPU cooler (stock or aftermarket) will plug into a separate fan header; usually named “CPU_Fan” or something like that. If you have a liquid cooler, the CPU block/pump will usually plug into the designated pump header and the radiator fans would then plug into the “CPU_fan” header, however every motherboard is different so I can’t say for sure. I really appreciate the compliment, thank you 🙏

One issue I saw is that you don’t know how to tighten screws. You should always criss-cross them and tighten them gradually and when they are all set then continue to tighten them more again in criss-cross pattern. It might not be so crucial that the cooler is tightened unevenly but it’s good to know when you say change a wheel on your vehicle..
@BuildsWithV
@BuildsWithV 3 жыл бұрын
I’m very aware of that. For a fan on the case there is absolutely no need to do that. CPU cooler is 100% necessary. Lots of car work it’s important. When you rebuild a motor that’s also very crucial. I’ve rebuilt several 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏

@@GimiBsk that’s a great point. It’s no worries at all. There are plenty of people who don’t know and I do appreciate you bringing it up. Basically anything that has two flat surfaces that need a near perfect contact like a cpu and cooler absolutely should have each corner screwed in place equally and in a cross (X) pattern. @BuildsWithV
@BuildsWithV 3 жыл бұрын
Are the hubs plugged into sata power? These won’t be able to be controlled by software with your motherboard unfortunately due to your motherboard not having any 3-pin headers. Just make sure you don’t plug the 3-pin cables into the 4-pin, you could fry something since they use different voltage.

@@BuildsWithV I think that’s where some of the confusion comes in I’m having a hard time determining what’s what like I said I’m a beginner lol. I only have the cables that power the fans connected to the hub, I tried daisy chaining the fans and it didn’t change anything. I have a silver cable coming from the hub connecting to my mother board and my dad said that should be the rgb but it doesn’t seem to change anything either weither it’s plugged in or not.
@BuildsWithV
@BuildsWithV 3 жыл бұрын
@@skyless8340 Okay, I completely understand the confusion. The silver wire that goes from your motherboard to your hub is actually for fan speed and not for RGBs. There should be a second hub that these fans came with, that hub is for RGBs. Since your motherboard doesn’t have 3-pin headers, you won’t be able to plug that hub into your motherboard. You can however plug the second hub into your sata power like you have your other hub. Then plug all your RGB cables into the hub itself. The RGB hub has some buttons on it that can control the RGBs. If you have Instagram feel free to DM me on there and hopefully I could help more. @buildswithv on Instagram.

So the only 120mm intake fan for my old thermaltake armor VA8000SWA full tower screws into a removable 3.5" HDD cage which takes up three slots of the ten 5.25" bays I have. I'd like to put another 120mm fan (or even a 140mm?) above it but there's no holes to fit them in. The only thing I can think of is getting another HDD cage but I wonder if there's some kind of bracket thing you can get?

one question, i have a Sentey 6090 box that it has a 12" blue led fan, and it has the conector. and also i have a msi b560m a-pro mboard, that it has only a sys-fan plug, and a cpu-plug... the cpu is already conected to a rgb thermaltake cooler, and the sys-fan is conected to another thermaltake non rgb fan to the back of the box, like in your video.... my question is, where can i conect other fans to the mother? i have the sentey that's included with the box but not plugged, and i have other 4 fans that i want to conect in the bottom, upside the box... can you, or anyone help me? thanks

Just came across your video. I just had a system built, but forgot to include a rear fan. I have three in front, two on top. How do you install a fan in the back if the GPU is already installed? Its a Corsair 4000x. The top fan is a Kraken z53 and the front fans are the ones that come with the system.

I don't have a rgb 3 pin connector, only the system fan connectors, on top of that the fans that came with the case has molex connectors, so I had to plug them directly into the psu and my rgb now looks like rainbow puke, anyways is there a way to control the rgb and make like just one static color?

You were talking plugging three pin into four pin socket (3:51), but your hand were holding a four pin wire. And the rail you mentioned was not clear. I am having a three pin fan wire plugging it into a CPU four pin socket, not knowing to plug it into the socket using the right pin alignment or the left. I was so hoping to get an answer from you man.
