an off the shop floor fork feels way different to one thats had its airspring cleaned out... If your bike shop has no idea about that - they shouldnt be dealing in high end bikes.. AT ALL Every fork you buy, pull the air spring, clean out the grease, install and enjoy a fork that rides atleast 40% better.
