This video briefly demonstrates how a camper cassette toilet works.
A cassette toilet is a permanent, built-in toilet with a removable waste compartment. The airtight, watertight waste tank easily slides out for dumping and cleaning in public restrooms and RV dump stations.
Features vary by model, but in general cassette toilets in campers have three main components: a toilet, a portable waste tank, and a water tank/source.
The toilet is permanently secured to the camper, and the bowl swivels on its base to maximize space. Flushing is done with a manual hand pump or an electric flusher, depending on the camper toilet model. The portable waste tank sits below the toilet and is accessed via a panel door on the exterior wall of the camper.
Water for flushing comes either from the camper’s main water tank or from a built-in tank on the cassette toilet. Built-in tanks can be filled quickly and easily with a standard garden hose.
All Four Wheel truck camper toilets come with a built-in countertop, storage space, and privacy curtain.
