Grant takes us for a drive in this recently completed 1967 Mustang running our full SPEC chassis! It retains the Ford small-block that came with the car and, thanks to the SPEC chassis, all the original floors! Now equipped with comfort, performance and modern handling dynamics, its ready for another 50 plus years of driving!
See the full details on the SPEC Mustang chassis HERE - roadstershop.com/product/full...

8:52, I totally agree with this comment. I healthy small block is what I like. Less weight, less fuel consumption, and it handles better, and it's a lot of fun to drive.

7:13, OMG, no matter if this 67 Fastback had your chassis or not; I'd never say it wasn't a special and amazing car. I agree that your chassis bring these cars into the future and they drive much better. I wish I still had my 67 Fastback.

I don't believe anybody can build a more awesome car . There are still some good Builders but this is one hell of an awesome team that make the best of the best.

Sorry for this necro response but.........This is one of only maybe TWO 1967's I have EVER seen where someone painted the Rocker Panel with the body paint. I have a '67 fastback currently in body and paint and have been thinking about doing this exact thing for years, but wasn't sure how it would work out. From your video looks like it did! It's amazing and I'm so surprised more people don't do this. They normally just remove panel and fill holes. But, then you have now road grit protection (well, clear film could work). Anyhow, just wanted to say, I love it.

That sound from the big block engine in the Bullit Mustang, actually was dubbed in from a Ford GT with the 289 that took Le Mans.

Nice car. But I don't think you'd like it if you were in San Francisco and hitting the jumps on those high hills. Especially the jump that helped the car lose all of the brakes in the Bullitt Mustang car during that famous chase stunt in the movie? LOL

When I was living in the USA during the late 80"s & 90"s..I used to hit the road twice or 3 times a year with my 1988 Porsche 911 SC from NY to Montana (lake Mary Ronan for fly fishing) driving the back-roads & country roads as much as possible and it was amazing ,this Mustang here would be also a perfect car for this kind of long road trips..!!...when he mentioned 'windows down' ,it made me think right away about a friend of mine who bought an Ultima GTR (zero windows to open) only AC..!!and it was the worst road trip I have take then with a friend"s car....not being able to drive with open windows & elbow out at the end of summer on a countryside road is a shame..way too hot & too loud..it was not enjoyable at all....almost a nightmare ,even if the car was exceptionally good to drive....glad to see all these RS cars with fab American V8 with a manual trans...what a delight to drive...not the same pleasure of driving with an auto trans.....HP & torque through that shifter is just amazing....!!

I owned a 67 green FB with 390/C6. 4 drum brakes. Fun, but a hassle to steer and stop. Too front heavy. I put up with the hassle just to look cool.

I believe Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift had a Mustang similar to the Bullitt, which had an RB26 swap, stripes, and "JDM" wheels put on. That thing really looked like a Bullitt, but speaking of popular Mustangs, that one is also going in "the books"

I love that car! My brother has a green one just like it. It was yellow before he painted it. He put a jet engine in it last spring, and the chicks really dig him.

I'm saving for a chassis for my 1967 Coupe! If all goes well I'll order one in a few years. I only fear the price going up as time goes by... Can I start a payment plan to freeze the price from going up in the future?

What was the cost to do all this. I have a 66 fastback that I'd be interested in having that chasis put into.
@RoadsterShop
@RoadsterShop 4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there's not really a set price. Much of the cost (outside of the chassis) depends on the condition of the original car, floors, framerails etc. Best thing to do is give us a call or email with pics and we can go over options. (847) 949-7637 or email info@roadstershop.com

I’d like to modify the above question. I have a 65 coupe. If I ordered the kit that is installed on the mustang in the video, what would be the cost? With the upgraded suspension components, brakes, etc. I can see on your website what the stock price is and there seems to be a lot of options. I’d be nice to know all of the options this one has.
@RoadsterShop
@RoadsterShop 4 жыл бұрын
@@AdCab77 Lots of options! Best bet is to hit up our sales staff (847) 949-7637 or email info@roadstershop.com - while it may be the topic of a future video, I'd recommend reaching out directly to get your questions answered.
