Mustang is on Map 4 of 6. Theres still more power available and it's possible to ramp in more boost in 2nd and 3rd gears. It's a brand new setup with these races being the 2nd and 3rd full hits on the new MT ET Streets. Mad respect to the BMW. Not gonna lie, as a BMW fan I’m impressed with that 5.0. This race was like a buzzer beater, every shift the 5.0 gets set back but that power makes up for that tiny gap and pulls him back right next to the M4, meanwhile the M4 is DCT so no lacking in between shifts. If they were to go another half mile, I think that coyote would have got him. Mad respect to the 5.0 driver and proud of that BMW for pulling 1 out. Great runs AG!! Keep ‘em comin💯🔥

If the M4 reduce the boost reduction in gears 3rd and 4th it most like would have pulled away even faster down low. The M4 doesnt get all of its power until 5th gear. Just imagine if he tweeks it just a little bit! ....ijs. Good runs tho. Keep them vids coming!

You can say that for both cars. We don’t know how it would play out as it’s all just speculation, but I have a feeling that the M4 wasn’t in its peak power when the Mustang was pulling. I could be wrong, I’m not biased either way, but the M4’s peak power was one gear higher. Dct isn’t as big of an advantage of some people think. Gearing can be a much bigger advantage than shift speed

@Andrey you have valid points. I have actually owned both cars and currently own an M4 because i wanted a road track weapon. The M4 strongest gears are 2nd and 3rd gear; the moment it hits 4th gear, the power feels flat even though it's still accelerating. If the M4 added just a little bit more power into 4th gear that mustang would not have been that close because of the DCT quick shifts. Your right the mustang could add more power in 3rd but I think it would either 1 break something or 2 can't put the power down or 3 the gearing is too short to even bother depending what gears the must has in it. But like you said it's speculation! I'm just curious how dialed back on power is the M4 in 4th gear and I could only imagine how much harder it would pull down low with more power.

No doubt the mustang is the more powerful car but if you can't change gears fast enough it don't matter. Yeah 170 is definitely pushing it in the streets. 5.0 definitely got more power but shifting kills him. Maybe he can adjust the boost by gear a little and ramp it in a little harder on the lower gears but then traction comes into play, but that's racing. Great builds by both cars 👍
