i’m crying my eyes out rn. this reminds me so much of httyd. something my childhood memories will always have. the movies and franchise that i became badly addicted to from the age of 8. the dragons were something. really something. it was something inside of me when i watched that first movie and i related so much to a single animated character. i remember watching the first movie and thinking “i want to fly dragons” and failing to comprehend that they “weren’t real”. i even got my mum when she’d pray for me at night, to ask god for me to dream about flying toothless through fields of blueberries and waterfalls. even as a young kid i wanted nothing more but to be apart of it. apart of this world so far away yet oh so close to my heart. berk. hiccup. the dragons. it’s as if i’d escaped to this place of wonder and imagination and excitement and i never wanted to leave. but as i grew older i began to leave it behind. thinking, this is just a small part of life in which won’t matter as a young adult. i was oh so wrong. now as a teen i find myself looking deep into these beautiful films and series and never so much have a related to a character in hiccup. a human who only wants the good for everyone around. a person who has never done anything to hurt anyone and yet, still receives hate and bullying from his peers. but i learnt from him to never give up. to try your best to succeed even when you’re “the wimp of the town”. because someday, after all your hard work, you’ll go from the wimp to the hero, chief and accepted. how to train your dragon showed me the importance of friendship and love and that if someone really means something to you, you’d do everything in your power to keep them out of harms way. it showed me that it’s okay to be different. it’s okay to not be like everyone else and stay outside the box because as what goes with hiccup, being the same as everyone else gets you no where. if he didn’t save toothless and killed dragons like everyone else, where would he be? a great leader? i think not. i learnt that whenever you lose something, you always gain something better in return. that you should never stop fighting for what you believe in. in conclusion, the decade of this incredible series has come to an end. 10 years of berk and saving dragons. from the first film to the last i’ll never forget that this series will always be in my heart and it’ll be there until forever. 💗

Here’s a poem I wrote listening to this song, I hope this makes someone remember their never alone. When I was younger, I had a dragon. You couldn’t see me but I was there, you couldn’t hold me but I could hold you. You couldn’t ride me but I would carry you anyways. Even though we grew apart as you got older know I’m still here, waiting for you to call on me again. I will never leave you, even if you yell and scream and breathe fire of your own at me, even if you flash your teeth and rake your claws against my wings. I won’t leave you for your ferocious heart and fire is mine as well, your wings are the same that sit upon my back and your claws are the same that grip mountains and claw the sky. I taught you how to be a dragon in a world where we are nothing but stories. They should not speak of us like fables, for you are proof we exist. Your eyes are like embers burning in the fireplace and your tenacity and strength can rival even the strongest of warriors. We are the same, dragon and man burned together by hard ships and downfalls, because every dragon falls when they’re learning to fly and when your ready, when your take that step off the nest and spread your wings, when you can fly across oceans and mountain peaks, then I’ll know it’s time to leave. But don’t worry, I’ll come back to visit, all you have to do is call and I will come. -Faythe Brown gaming.

@@On1_Ryu I'm so happy that you agree with me! And yes, I think it's both painful and wonderful at the same time! Life is beautiful for this reason: It's so nuanced, this is precisely what makes it so intense and true 💖
@flowersoul68944 жыл бұрын
@@On1_Ryu In my opinion, yes, also because just if you feel pain it means that you really love, and you know, there's no love without pain, they're a bit the same thing! But you know, I prefer to live in a world full of love and (inner) pain, nuanced and intense, rather than in a gray, flat, dull world that doesn't know about life, but only knows about survival, and I prefer to live rather than surviving, with all the risks that this entails, for better or for worse... in my opinion, life, the real one, has everything in it, and everything we need to become better, to feel full, and therefore for me a life with only something cannot simply exist, it's only an illusion, an illusion that certainly wouldn't do us any good, on the contrary... in my opinion, life is a bit like the things that apparently collide between of them: Good and evil, light and dark, everything and nothing, memory and oblivion, which, however, in reality, are only complementary, and this is understood if one thinks that one cannot exist without the other, but it's up to us to decide in which part to believe, and I know of the existence of the negative parts of things, I'm aware of it, but I believe in the positive ones (and I know that however strong the negative part can be, the positive part can be even more, because it's life, which is still stronger than death, even if it's also linked to life) , it's that strengthens me, sends me forward and makes me grow, it's what makes me live 💖 I don't think it's a coincidence that this movie (and this trilogy) is one of my favourite movie ever! This is because not only do I see myself a lot in Hiccup, I see my life in it for certain aspects and I love how the movie conveys emotions, but also because I find everything so mature and sad but so sweet and powerful at the same time, so I find everything so true! The HTTYD3 ending is one of the most beautiful, intense, exciting, moving and powerful movie endings I've ever seen ✨💜

This gave me how to train your dragon vibes! I honestly love this! I think this has a deeper meaning for some, or is it just me? 💞 When I listen to this song it reminds me of my childhood and how I used to have imaginary friends and also dragons, and “we would fly away to places you can’t even imagine” 🍃 I just love this so so much! I feel strong and confident when I listen to this! Thank you for blessing us 💞

People here are reminded of httyd, and while I am too, I am also reminded of Firedrake and Ben from Dragon Rider. And Sorel of course, she will never be forgotten. But in those books is another dragon and rider pair, and it truly is powerful. Then there is Eragon, the book series. Another powerful dragon/rider relationship. Dragonheart as well. There is just something about dragons that’s ancient and powerful. Thank you Lord for these great beasts.even the ones that are only in our imaginations.

Honestly, I cried when i rewatched the movies but the newest one made me cry so much. It's such. A bittersweet nostalgic feeling. It makes me heart ache. I was addicted to httyd when I was younger. It was a big part of my childhood
