Builth Road Railway Station, Heart of Wales Line, opened in 1864 and crossed the Mid-Wales Railway at Llechryd, later re-named Builth Road Lower Station, closed in 1962. The station has 5 trains a day in each direction and circa 7,000 passengers a year prior to Covid 19. The town of Builth Wells is two miles away. The Royal Welsh Showground in fairly close and brings extra trains and patronage.
