Tyler Bates: "As the composer of the music titled 'Message For The Queen', I would like to make it clear that while the introduction expresses the woodwind melody present in many recorded versions of the song "Zajdi, Zajdi Jasno Slance", this music is equally based on Bulgarian traditional folk music."
The first lyric record of the song was published in Turnovo (Bulgaria) by Lyuben Karavelov in 1878.

Во последните шеесет години, песната станува една од песните што жителите на поранешната Југославија највеќе ја поврзуваат со Република Македонија. Песната не е народна, туку во авторство на истакнатиот изведувач Александар Сариевски.За песната Сариевски во една прилика вели: „Песната „Зајди, зајди, јасно сонце“ настана по примерот на народната „Чернеј горо, чернеј сестро“. Слушајќи ја таа песна и пеејќи ја понекогаш, од мене произлезе идеја да направам нешто слично по содржина, но со сосема друга мелодија. Така, полека ја испеав песната, која што набргу стана многу популарна секаде каде што ја пеев. Таа песна мене ми значи многу зашто ја прифатија многу луѓе што се занимаваат со народната музика, но пред сè многу ми значи што ја прифати народот. Секогаш кога некаде ќе настапев мислам дека секој од присутните очекуваш оваа песна да ја испеам“.

You do realise this is the version played in the Battlefield game sung by a Turkish girl? This aint even the original, the original was composed by Aleksandar Sarievski and his composition and singing of it is the original, who based it off of common Balkan motifs and poems which Lyuben Karavelov included in his poem. His isn’t even the first lmao! The poem’s motifs was popular all over the Balkans in the 19th Century, Sarievski was the first to make it into a song and his rendition is the most popular, by all accounts it is a Macedonian song, inspired by motifs from all over the Balkans, including Bulgaria, the only reason Karavelov’s poem is even known is because Vasil Levski compiled it along with his other works. Even if Bulgaria can claim some motifs and lyrics at best, the actual composition/arrangement of the melody and most of the song was done by Sarievski alone, this is an undisputed fact.
