Taco, you just needed to remove the spring clamp ( with pliers) that holds the drain hose off that washer so you could drain it.

Just wondering what your scrap yard is paying for insulated wire? I was just paid .30 a lb. Terrible. Iscrap says .80-2.00 per lb. I think I got a bad deal.

Depends on the wire and how your scrap yard pays for wire, except for boat wire and romex all wire at my scrap yard pays the same. It’s $1.00 per pound. Some yards will pay you less for wire that is thin or has more insulation. My scrapyard just groups it together

@TacoStacks thanks for the info. It is all that I find from appliances and air conditioners and vacuum cleaners in my alley walks during the year. Nothing barebright all appliance cords I'm afraid to take all my insulated stripped wire to this place due to the low price on the other wire. This is all copper no processing to be done. Just melt down. Have you even done your own copper melting? And turn them into bars?
