My son and I hit a little city pond to try and catch some BULL FROGS for dinner! We made quick work of it, and ended up keeping 9 GIANT frogs with GIANT legs. We headed home and I demonstrate how to clean a frog, how to cook frog legs, and of course, the taste test of frog legs for my family!
THANK YOU for watching!! Go SUBSCRIBE and leave a THUMBS UP if you liked the video!

Just a heads up, frogs breath partially thru their skin and they can pick up chemicals from run off in urban areas. It shouldn't prevent you from eating them, just take care of their source.

I have eaten frog legs since I was a kid in the 1970s. I remember when pops and I went to this small farm pond and gigged some massive bullies in the early 1980s. Great memories I love that you're making with your son as well. He'll never forget them. Cleaned, washed and lightly breaded in a seasoned fish fry coating and then fried. Heaven....😋😋

Why is utube becoming super sensitive on what they call 'graphic' videos. I can see us having to go hunting with plastic blunt arrows & pretend knives soon...... Get real u tube.
@tanyashilling6747
@tanyashilling6747 6 жыл бұрын
rlb navara yeah, I don't consider this "graphic" at all, this is how our food is prepared! Are you supposed to just magically hug them and end up cord on a plate? Humans have been killing and eating animals since we caught the first animal ever.... It's human nature/top of the food chain.

I like the video as well, but I agree that this is graphic. Animals being skinned and having their backs snapped is too violent.

I've been froggin my whole life, and I've never seen it done, intentionally at least, with a pole! I'm usually hanging off the front of the boat in the middle of the night, out on a bayou somewhere with a dang spot light.. while my dad yells "you better not miss that mf'r!!".. and I never did!! I'm almost 40 and I still go with my old man from time to time (we fish together almost every other weekend), and I take my son and daughter out now too!! Powerful stuff, bro.. thanks for stirring the memories

When my dad was little. Like 10 or 11 him and his brother thought that frogs legs grew back so they went and caught 30 frogs cut off there legs while they were alive and chucked em back in the water still alive with no legs they got home with a big basket of frog legs and started to get em ready to cook then he was talking to my grandma (his mom) and she said omg how many frogs did you kill you guys better eat all those and then they said we didnt kill them there legs grow back we let them go and thats a story i still hear to this day over 20 years later lmao

You taught me something I have never knew and I was born in deep So. La. 68 years ago,, and that is catching them on rod..I have a Jon Boat 18' with led spot lights all around,, $18000.00 worth of boat, and an air boat with a 454 Chevy eng. that we bow fish for them, and huge gar also,,then we have gar balls, and legs. But Thank You for showing this, I will give it a go. If you would like a taste treat try getting your legs together and either catfish, or bass, oysters, crab, (REAL) shrimp, and make your favorite spaghetti sauce and add your meats to the sauce, cook the noodles, then pour the sauce over the noodles, thus you have a seafood spaghetti. You can also use turtle or anything else you catch, my family and friends rave when I add rattlesnake in the dish. Well thank you again. .

I frogged for 60 years still go out and get a mess to eat now and then I use a can opener just put it in on the line on the belly where the legs hook on and pull also the front legs are excellent and the meat on the back is also, its good to see a Dad teaching son the art of frogging as my Dad and Grandfather took me out in the swamps when I was a boy, excellent video thanks for posting
