The movie Jaws was fantastic. It offered a single primary story arc focused on the subject matter promised by promotional material. It provided a fantastic build up of suspense throughout the movie in various scenes, giving the viewer many thrills without a single frame of action or CGI. It made use of sound effects and music brilliantly to help create suspense. Each scene provided a worthwhile "pay-off" with lengthy suspense and feelings of dread ending with gritty violence, bloodshed or action. It was original, well-paced, riveting, exciting, believable, and thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Unfortunately, the movie "Bullshark" offers none of what made Jaws a masterpiece. It dabbles with personal drama from the outset and fails to effectively integrate this drama into the primary story arc (a killer shark on the loose). The result is a disjointed movie that jumps back and forth between two separate story arcs (redemption of an alcoholic father, and the killer shark) to the point that all momentum is completely lost, and all interest in the primary arc - and the movie itself - simply dissipates. At around the 51 minute 30 second mark, when the film effectively 'shelves' direct pursuit of the shark in favour of cutting away to a scene of the father racing to spend time with his son (who we couldn't care less about), when he had the perfect opportunity to pursue the shark, just completely destroyed any hope I had for the movie. Additionally, there was no use of music or sound effects to help create suspense, in fact, no creation of suspense whatsoever, and the movie contains scene after scene of lengthy 'build up' (if you can call it that) with no pay-off. At each moment of 'attack' it's just cutaway shot after cutaway shot. There's no blood, no gore, no violence. The acting is reasonably good and general production quality is fair but overall the movie is extremely mediocre at best. An unoriginal, poorly paced, poorly written, disjointed, boring movie lacking suspense and without an ounce of momentum. 4/10

I enjoyed the film. It was a lot better than I anticipated. I know there are plenty of people who won't like it...but it really isn't bad at all. I had fun with the film and considering it's small budget and tight schedule...the film turned out really good. It's not perfect by any means, but it's a movie and I had fun with it.

Bull sharks swim up rivers and into lakes. about 90% of shark attacks r done by bull sharks. tey can live in sea water and fresh water. its very rare for a great white to attack humans. in most cases it was either a bull shark or tiger shark but the blame gets put on great whites.
