Someone said this isn't technically a _sequel_ to the first movie, seeing as it takes place _at the same time_ as the first one just in a different area... And that's what's truly great about it. There's no time jump, this didn't occur 24 years after the first movie, it happened in the same month...

It happens really close, but not at the same time, cause the spirit of the protagonist from the first one comes with the intro farm boy to warn Minxie, so he was already dead before Minxie gets the first vision, after the end of the first the creeper had time to go after the farm boy before getting to the bus tho.

Now this was peak storytelling. I watched this decades ago. I didnt even remember the plot. All that was left was the feeling of terror it instilled in me. Now watching it as an adult. Its not so much scary as it is thrilling. The casting was superb and the characters were well written. I was drawn in to every moment of disbelieve, bargaining and acceptance. To top it off, the well placed comedic timing was just chefs kiss. They really dont make them like they used to anymore. MJM

I grew up in a very poor and remote area of Nepal. I remember, we had a black and white TV and it was manual; you have to turn around a button to change channels. From an early age, I was very adamant about learning English and there were two English channels AXN and Star Movies, and once or twice a week, this movie would be broadcast on Star Movies, I was both amazed and frightened by this movie at that time. Lots of nostalgia and good memories.

I'm a 2000s kid. And movies lilke this got me through high school. I'm talking The Faculty, Final Destination, Jennifer's Body nightmare on elm street and others like these. First time I saw this movie I was doing my senior year in high, day before our last field trip, you can imagine what kind of imaginative narrative I had on the bus. I lived through these movies just excitedly wondering how it would be if my entire school was overrun with aliens? Or preppy girl eats boys for lunch haha OK that's Kind messed up and morbid. Still made my high school days exciting.
