We were graced by a legend for the second day in a row, as we had the honor of interviewing WWE Hall of Famer Bullet Bob Armstrong. Bobby Mathews joined us again to discuss his career, his talented sons (Brad, Scott, Steve, & Road Dog), his feud w/ Ron Fuller, turning heel after years of being a babyface, Continental Wrestling, and more. He even hit on names such as Austin Idol, Roddy Piper, Arn Anderson, Hulk Hogan, Mr. Saito, Buzz Sawyer and more. He is such a story teller he even popped us on several occasions. It's another can't miss episode w/ a true legend in the wrestling business.

I was born in Pensacola in 1972. From 1978 till Southeastern Championship Wrestling closed I was a giant mark for the Armstrong's mostly Bullet Bob! I have never watched wrestling since. Lol.

You should hunt down some Smokey Mountain Wrestling, the bullet was the commissioner and later entered the ring to sort things out.

Tapped Out Wrestling Podcast I LOVED THE BULLET BOB INTERVIEW. I grew up in Gordon Alabama (about 20 miles south of Dothan) in the early 70s and went to so many GREAT REAL WRESTLING MATCHES. I miss those years...GREAT MEMORIES. There will never be another era of wrestling to ever compare to the 70s and 80s!!!! Ron Fuller, Jimmy Golden, Robert Fuller, Bob Armstrong, The Flame, Dick Dunn, Bill Ash, Arn Anderson and Jerry Stubbs, Don Carson, Hulk Hogan... a.k.a Terry The Hulk Bolder and his brother... Eddie Bolder a.k.a Brutus The Barber Beefcake, Joe Leduc, The Wrestling Pro, The Mongolian Stomped, Exotic Adrian Street & Ms.Linda, Ox Baker, The New Zealand Sheephearders, Austin Idol, Ken Lucas, and I could go on and on with the Real WRESTLERS that spent time in the Dothan area. The WWE COULD REALLY LEARN FROM THIS ERA. No ring entrance music, No light show, No silly gimmicks. Just real wrestling fans either cheering or booing when they walked out to the ring. I'll say it again...THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ERA OF WRESTLING LIKE THE 70s and 80s. Just the honest truth from a REAL WRESTLING OLD SCHOOL LOVING FAN and the memories of a 10 year old little boy who watched Southeastern Championship Wrestling RELIGIOUSLY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT.

Tapped Out Wrestling Podcast I live in Mobile Alabama now.. I grew up in Gordon Alabama. I don't get to hear much about the Ledends Reunion around Dothan. Any idea when and where it will he held in 2018? I would love to attend the next on. Is there a web site that I can use to watch for updates and the names to return?

I have nothing but praise and respect for Bullet Bob, but if they're gonna let him in the HOF, then they have to put the Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller and the Colonel in there as well

Wish you would have asked about his biggest, scariest rivalry... his former partner, The Flame. That cat gave me nightmares ! When he shot the promo video where he was burning pictures and shooting them with his pistol, it was over the top !

Yeah Bob Armstrong was very loyal and true to Ga. Championship Wresling Promoter Paul Jones. Mr. Jones was a very very likeable old man and former wrestler himself ... wanted to give the fans in Atlanta more than their money's worth. Mr. Jones wanted to bring in the best competition he could possibly book you name it LOL you name it from Little Bobo the midget wrestler to Big Bobo Brazil you could expect some good wrestlers coming your way each week from Mr. Jones. But a lot of wrestlers jumped ship from him when there was a big wrestling promotion split in Fall 1972. Bye the way this split happened after the death of her husband wrestler Ray Gunkle. wrestlers jumped to Ann Gunkle's AllSouth Championship wrestling I remember that the week after the split there were new wrestlers that came in with less than the next weekend to prepare & get a card the next Friday night. Bob was just about the only wrestler from the old Georgia Championship Wrestling promotion stay with him. Virtually overnight wrestlers jumped. ship everybody went with Ann Gunkle. she folded in less than a year

Big Bill Drumo and Darrell Chocran stayed with Georgia Championship Wrestling and Ann was in business from Nov. 1972 until November 1974.
